Most Painful-Looking Scenes In Cartoons

One that sticks out for me is when the kais attempt to pull out Goku's tail in Dragon Ball GT. Makes me cringe just thinking about it.:ack:

Spongebob. "House Fancy". When Spongebob and Squidward are moving the furniture, and Squidward's toenail gets ripped off.

Ugh... That's the first thing that popped into my head, unfortunately.

There is a scene in the Ed Edd n Eddy episode "A Fistfull of Eds" where Double D gets a fork stabbed under his finger nail. THat just makes me cringe.

Stimpy shoving a crowbar into the giant's big toe in "Magical Golden Singing Cheeses". Good lord that looked painful.

Peter falling off the roof in "The Man With Two Brians" and completely messing up his neck with vertebra sticking out everywhere.

Poor Alfred getting zapped by Miranda in "Heart of Steel, Part I" from B:TAS.

Yeah, Peter's had plenty of painful-looking physical accidents. LOL! Also, Brian getting hit in the face with the telephone in "Brian the Bachelor." Ouch!

The Simpsons: Marge burning her retinas by looking at the solar eclipse in "Gone Maggie Gone". Made even worse by a "crisping" sound effect. (shudders)

Definately agree with this one. Another really painful scene is in the Aqua Teen Hunger Force episode "Revenge Of The Trees," when Carl gets his back skin ripped off by trees numerous times.

Probably the most painful scene I've seen in animation, though, is Butters getting a ninja start stuck in his eye in the South Park episode "Good Times With Weapons." I've always kind of had a weird phobia about accidentally poking my eyes, so any scene involving eyes getting stabbed or anything like that runs the risk of making me a bit uneasy. But the episode doesn't just end with Butters getting it stuck in his eye. He spends the rest of the episode crying and whimpering in pain, with the star still stuck in eye, which makes it even more painful.

Duke getting a serpent stake through the heart in animated G.I. Joe movie. That looked like it might have stung just a little. [sarcasm]He's lucky he didn't die from that injury.[/sarcasm]

Goku getting thrashed by Piccolo at the World Martial Arts tournament. I think Krillin says it best. "HE BROKE HIS LEG!"

Batman taking a wrench to the shoulder in "The Laughing Fish" and him taking a wrench to the body in "Rebirth". Batman should stay away from big wrenches:p

I Second this!

Also, one that makes me cringe (and pulls my heartstrings) is in Avatar: The Last Airbender when Azula uses her lightening attack both on Aang (killing him) and on Zuko (nearly killing him, but he was able to deflect most of it).

The beatings Woody gets in the Toy Story movies (all three of them) get points too.

Ugh, yes. I'm still shocked that made it onto the air.

Everything on Superjail.

Spongebob stepping on Plankton in the Spongebob movie, then slowly scraping his foot on the ground, while Plankton can be heard wailing in agony.

Mung Daal getting slashed by a bear in the Grubble Gum episode of Chowder. Cut to the next scene, his nose is almost ripped in half, a large chunk of his nose is just barely hanging onto the rest of it by a tiny piece of skin.

Meatwad using a chainsaw to cut Master Shake's tongue off.

During a parody of Jackass on Family Guy, Johnny Knoxville gets shot in the face with a shotgun, blowing off the right side of his face (Think Two-Face from The Dark Knight, only ten times worse)

Another Family Guy example:

Luke Skywalker using his lightsaber to give a woman laser eye surgery...

It doesn't end well when he's told to use the force and it goes right through the patient's eye and through the back of the head.

Another one is when Homer skis down a hill while slamming into snow banks with his crotch after looking at "Stupid Sexy Flanders". Ouch!

You just reminded me of two other painful moments from The Simpsons.

I can't remember the episode title, or the premise, but in one episode, Homer was playing Basketball at a community center, and got his leg caught in the basketball hoop while trying to make a slam-dunk, snapping his leg. He is later seen in a wheelchair with a cast on. When he learns about the expensive bill, he gets up and tries to make a run for it, snapping his leg again.

What makes those scenes even worse is hearing his bones snap, and seeing poor Homer sob and scream out in agony. :crying:
