"Most Of The Religious Right Are Not Stupid, Just Willfully Ignorant"

As you said, you aren't much of a poster here, except to pop in and throw borabs.

Like this one less than 2 months ago, once again showing your Obama sackriding skills ...

Good for you, wake me up when you get to the other half. I only have 4 more to go ... 11 if you count like Obama.

And if 85% of the people in the US are religious, then why bother drawing the distinction with the south. You do know that "85%" is "most" in just about everyone's definition, right?

you're wrong and missing MY point. people who follow the theory of evolution are receptive to any science showing for or against. It's when others who don't know anything about it try to refute it with zero testing or evidence, when they are shot down.

On the other hand, the uber religious will never ever hear anything different because there is no way to prove their "belief" in the first place, so how could anything else be right?

I was just asking a question. There's no such thing as "hardcore" atheist. You either are or are not. Some are more vocal than others.

And truly middle ground doesn't really exist. People almost always tend to lean one way or the other if pressed.

I will look at what you listed.

The difference between "not knowing for sure" about either The Big Bang or God, is that one creates rules, ideals, changes how you interact with people and gives prejudices that make mankind awful in many ways - and one is a theory that is benign.

your point does not respond to the statement made in the initial post, so doesn't have a response from me. It does not state that simply being religious is willfully ignorant, it states that creating laws and following beliefs in order to further your agenda regarding those beliefs even though it's not correct, is doing this. I suppose ending the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" is a religious movement by the President?

No he doesn't you hack. Here is the WHOLE QUOTE ...

"Well, first i thought it was a very inappropriate question, you know, for the presidency to be decided on a scientific matter," he said. "I think it's a theory...the theory of evolution and I don't accept it as a theory. But I think the creator that i know, you know created us, every one of us and created the universe and the precise time and manner and all. I just don't think we're at the point where anybody has absolute proof on either side."

He is more knowledgeable, educated, and open minded than you or ANY hard line atheist out there.

BTW, you do know that Barack Obama believes in God and that the Lord Jesus Christ is his personal savior. Care to comment on that?
