I tend to find I'm happy whatever music I'm listening to, but a few songs that perhaps make me more reticent than I otherwise would be are:
Bruce Springsteen - Streets Of Philadelphia
Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms
Lene Marlin - So I See
Nightwish - Kuolema Tekee Tatailijan
Tattle Tale - Glass Vase Cello Case
Alex Bach - Miles To Go
Beth Orton - Ooh Child
Pat McGee Band - Eligy For Amy
Sister Hazel - Out There
Trophy Scars "Baby Eskimo Kisses"
Thursday "Steps Ascending"
Brand New "Guernica"
Sufjan Stevens "John Wayne Gacy Jr."
Travis "The Cage"
Bright Eyes, well pretty much all of Fevers and Mirrors.
& alot of Elliott Smith's stuff.
Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah
The Smiths - That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore
Radiohead - True Love Waits (Live)
Q.O.T.S.A. - I Never Came
Elliott Smith - Between The Bars
Agree totally. It is such a universal song in the way it saddens people. Everyone knows the song and has heard it so many times, but it doesn't matter: Only the hardest cynic can not at leasat be touched, if not cry.
