Most Inaccessable Artists?

Honestly people, I've found something that is more inaccessible than anything else mentioned here: yes, even more than Merzbow. I believe this is the most inaccessible "music" I've ever, and likely will ever, come across. I give you---- STALAGGH.

Seems to me those comments should just be in the overrated thread or something similar. There are a ton of banRAB more deserving to be mentioned here, the Residents popping into my mind immediately.
 
Anything calling itself "chalkface". I've tried to get into those albums time and again and I just can't do it. As for stuff I have actually gotten into and enjoyed... Minit, which is an expirimental electronica duo. It's fascinating stuff really. And though some might disagree, I think PiL is a bit hard to get into at first.
 
I don't listen to enough music to really give any "out there" answers, but the band I had the hardest time getting into was Mr. Bungle. I enjoy there first album as a whole, but that's really the only one I play on any kind of a regular basis...
 
Grateful Dead are an odd group, essentially a folk rock group but in reality so much more, incorporating all differents types of music: country, psychedelic and jazz etc just to name a few. Also their live recorRAB are very different as well, with heavy jamming and plenty of musical improvisation. All in all an odd band.
 
You said Gruf was pretty hard to get into but i got into him pretty easily. Must just be me. Do you like Dalek? The most avantgarde rap i've listened to anyway
 
That album is more inaccessible to me than a lot of avant garde stuff, it's hard to explain, it's just too ugly for me for the most part.

I consider it a great album though because of the ground it broke for the time and there are indeed some awesome tracks like Moonlight on Vermont, Hair Pie Bake 2, Ella Guru and Big Joan Sets Up. But there's also stuff like Dachau Blues, Pena and Hobo Chang Ba which is just astonishingly awful.

It's a good album for what it is but not the flawless masterpiece people make it out to be.
 
Always found it inaccessible but at the same time thoroughly interesting, I`ve not heard it in years, so a definate listen is coming up.
 
Well fair enough, haha, I mean I just cannot get into them, and believe me I given them a chance, so overrated or inaccessible there on my list, :)
