...very light 25yo male? OK, here's the deal: recently had some crazy junkie go at me with a knife. Tried to tickle my ribs (barely managed to block, took a hit to the left biceps - TOO close for comfort), then tried to gut me twice - dodged one, intercepted the next, got him in a lock, and fortunately that was the end of it... beat the moron down and handed him over to the cops.
BUT THAT WAS WAAAY TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT. Wasn't the first time, either. Never been cut before, but have broken a dozen bones or so over the years.
I'm unlucky/careless enough to end up in such situations every once in a while. And I don't much care to wait until my luck runs out entirely.
I'm 6'2", 160lbs, pretty fast and muscular. Too light to take punches, though, very much a "glass jaw".
Need some good self-defense training. The hardcore stuff. Let's face it, stuff like karate is for hand-to-hand what the sport of fencing is for weapons.
What's a good martial art that focuses on real-world usefulness, fast blocks, evasion, and rapid disabling? None of that humane crap, none of the just barely sufficient force or anything... Need me a crash course in "putting multiple and/or armed attackers into the hospital while staying in one piece yourself", you know?
