Most Forgotten Animated Film.

Here are some other animated films i thought of that i doubt anyone has seen much less remembers.

Allegro non Troppo: A really astonishing film and the italian answer to "fantasia"

Super Vips: Done by the same animator (Bruno Bozetto) This movie is a really great spoof of super heros.

Mutant Aliens: Great animated spoof of B grade monster movies that i have only seen once on tv (on the sundance channel late at night) by the great (IMO) animator bill plimpton
 
I remember the CGI Ten Commandments film from 2007. I think this image speaks for itself:

There are also the Shakespeare Animated Tales, which could honestly look fairly creepy, but weren't altogether bad. I believe they are English in origin, but it definitely received a US release. There's also the film The Little Polar Bear, though I'm not sure how popular that one was.

Does anyone remember The Christmas Dinosaur? I saw it once on Cartoon Network during the holiday season and never again.
 
Anyone here from the Midwest remember the TV special "Santabear's High Flying Adventure?" Yeah, it was a way to get parents to buy Santabear and Co. from the Hudson's Department Stores, but I love Santabear, Miss. Bear, Sneakers, the police penguins heck, I even miss Bullly Bear.

Apparently, John Malkovich was Santa...talk about casting against type.
 
I know this will sound crazy to ya'll. In a way, A Bug's Life is forgotten. Whenever I read about Pixar's history, a lot of times, the article will talk about Toy Story, then go right into Toy Story 2 and how it blew people away because it was better than the original and how rare that it in movie sequels.

I also forgot the title of this movie. It was by sheer coincidence that the name was a pun of sorts, considering the stars were flies:

I saw that last year I believe. It was on a school field trip and they showed it to us. It was pretty good for that type of movie but it wasn't fantastic or anything. :sweat:

I don't know if it counts as a movie, it was only 45 minutes long, but I used to love rewatching that on my VCR player. I hardly see it mentioned anymore. :sweat:
 
I know a lot pf people didnt like Cool World but I did. It wasent great by any means but I still have a soft spot for it because it was so different then Roger Rabbit which is one of my all time favorite films. I do wish they would remake Cool World with the original script but i never bash the original film. I love it in its own way and I have it on dvd and on my ipod touch. I loved Oliver and company as a kid. I had the bed set (sheets curtians bed spread etc.)That movie brings back old times as well. :D
 
My mom found the MGM Tom Sawyer movie from the 1990s at a yard sale. What I found interesting is that they used country music singers as the voice actors: Rhett Akins as Tom Sawyer and Mark Wills as Huck Finn. Lee Ann Womack and Alecia Elliott also did the singing voices for two other characters., and Hank Williams Jr., Waylon Jennings and Marty Stuart all had cameos.

I caught Animalympics on YouTube the other day. Great stuff.

Someone also mentioned the Heathcliff movie. I saw parts of that back around 1997 when we had satellite for a few months. The only things I remember are the theme song and the fact that the closed captions said "Henry, not Heathcliff" at one point to indicate who was talking.

Also, I'm surprised at the mentions of American Rabbit. For those of you who hang around on the darker side of the Internet, there's this one guy named Christian Weston Chandler who's known for an abysmal Sonic/Pok?mon comic (which he has since abandoned) and for being one of the biggest trolling victims ever. He cited American Rabbit multiple times as one of his major influences. Do some Googling and you'll find a whole wiki of info gathered by the trolls and/or Christian himself. (On second thought, don't; many aspects of his life are very disturbing.)
 
I know it's already been mentioned here, but since I was already thinking of it just by reading the thread title, I'll mention it again. Whenever the subject of forgotten films comes to mind, I always seem to start and end with Home on the Range.

I think Family Guy made fun of it once, and that's pretty much the only time it's been mentioned anywhere since it came out six years ago. I've also never seen it reran on Disney Channel at all. Unless I've missed it, I think the mentality with this particular movie is to just pretend it never happened, which is probably a good idea (it stinks, and it lost money; if it's remembered for anything, it's for all the wrong reasons).
 
I believe that Nickelodeon has aired it once or twice. Most fans don't really talk about the movie, although some often do mention the series for a second movie to conclude the series, even though that's sadly unlikely to happen.

I think that counts more as a special than a movie. Olive the Other Reindeer almost always airs at least once or twice during the holiday season on Cartoon Network. So I'm not sure if I would call it a forgotten movie.

I would also agree with Once Upon a Forest for this topic. While I remember the cover of the video tape and one scene near the beginning, I couldn't recall its title until I read this thread. I remember liking it when I was little though. I would also say The Penguin and the Pebble is a forgotten film as well. Unless there is a discussion on Don Blutch's 90's movies, I never actually see this movie come up in conversation. Oddly enough, I also remember liking this movie when it aired on Cartoon Network years ago.
