Most disturbing scenes in a movie.

wow - just watched it on youtube (knew it wouldnt be sex/violence so risked it) didnt have any sound on until part 4 with that harrowing music...what a masterpiece of work...would have terrified me if I had of seen it all those years ago.

That was sick, when you see the foot bend after being whacked.

...but it would've been a whole lot nastier had it stayed like the book! (she cuts it of with an axe and then quarterises the wound with a blow torch!:eek:

Was talking about that film in a convo earlier, have to admit I had to fast forward the rape scene, seemed too real and sick.
Thought it was a good film though and liked the soundtrack too.
Baise Moi is another one that was pretty heavy.

The Shining, when the little boy is on his trike speeding down the corridors. Then those weird drums start and those 2 twins appear. Then you see him laying in bed, staring at the camera with his eyes open wide, mouth open wide in a silent scream.

Bad Times !!!!

it would have to be a nightmare on elm street 3 for me, just because of the human puppet scene because i have a phobia of wrist and feet veins they gross me out and make my skin crawl and when they get ripped outa that kiRAB feet and wrists in the film i felt like puking...however i still love the movie...the part with the tv is great!

I thought the whole film was pretty harrowing but yes that's the bit that still sticks with me.

For the record I thought the Exorcist was one of the funniest films I'd ever seen! We had to be told to be quiet when we saw it at the cinema because we were all laughing so much.

Hmm that's not really "disturbing" tho is it which is what this thread is about. It's just a "jump out of your chair" moment. And it didn't help that he looked like Jordy Verrill from Creepshow after he'd been completely covered in moss :D

Anything involving the ripping of finger/toe nails. Anything else I can stomach, but that is just a no no... I was watching the Royal last week and it had a scene where one Doctor had to remove a toe nail, it didn't show it but the sound effect, ahhhhhhhhhh. I was holding my head.

Thank you for answering my question; I have never seen the whole of Caligula - I think I must have fallen asleep and woken up to the film half-way through or something. Nice.

Exorcist 3 - crap film apart from two bits. The old lady crawling around on the ceiling of the asylum above Kinderman's head - and nobody notices. And the bit where the nurse gets her head cut off by the demon with the garden shears...
