Most Disturbing Moment In A Film

Someone pass me a fork... :D

Seriously though, angry they've cut it. By almost 4 minutes, as well.
Either release a film as it was intended to be seen, or don't release it at all!

I remember when I was about 12 I was channel hopping on tv and I clicked onto channel 4 and saw the head explosion in scanners. That freaked me out at the time.

In the here and now, I dunno. A lot of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me and bits in other David Lynch movies unnerved me, but I don't know if a film has truely ever disturbed me as an adult. Guess I'm old and cynical.

I watched that a few months ago and was immensely disappointed with it after all the hype i'd heard about it. I thought it was more amusingly dated than scary. I didn't find myself on edge at all.

As for disturbing movies:

Martyrs - the last 45 minutes. If you've seen it you'll know what i mean. I had some of the horrible images from that film in my head for weeks after.

Salo - Shit eating, then the last 5 minutes. The whole thing just left me feeling "dirty".

Irreversible - Fire extinguisher scene (technically brilliant, i'd love to see how they filmed that) and the harrowingly unbearable rape scene.

Paranormal Activity - Before the hype for it went through the roof i watched the DVD screener by myself late at night. Absolutely terrified me, i daren't go downstairs in the dark to the toilet afterwarRAB, lol.

'Martyrs' isn't just a disturbing film either, it's also a brilliant film. If you like horror movies then i highly recommend it, it's probably the best horror film i've seen:D

Somebody mentioned the execution of Del in The Green Mile- I agree with that. Also, the rape of Deborah in Once Upon a Time In America is just a horrible scene.

I Spit on Your Grave - rape scene

Ichi The Killer - nipple cutting

August Underground Mordum - ending bath scene

Men Behind The Sun - no redeeming features in this movie, it's just depressing and disturbing

Flower of Flesh & Blood

Murder Set Pieces

Slaughtered Vomit Dolls

The Untold Story - child killing scene

Here's a few from me:

Most of Blue Velvet especially the bit with Dennis Hopper and Dean Stockwell when he is miming to "In Dreams" by Roy Orbison.

The rape scene in Deliverence

The scene in Goodfellas where Billy Bats is beaten and kicked by Pesci and De Niro. Something about De Niro's face as he is kicking and stomping Bat's head in that makes me freak.

Almost all of Breaking the Waves.

In Full Metal Jacket when "Pyle" finally loses it and blows his own brains out.

Interestingly though, they do become less disturbing after you watch it a few times. Does this mean I have become desensitized and is this a good or a bad thing?

The brainwashing scene in A Clockwork Orange. I hate things with eyes, and seeing Alex's eyes being kept open made me feel sick.

'The Human Centipede'

Where a man woke up on day and thought, why not make a human chain of peoples lips stitched to another persons bum, so when they eventually poo, the other person suffocates!

FEEL SO SICK!

I read about it been banned in the USA (i wonder why) so the ending was on youtube so i checked what all the fuss was about. trying to erase from memory now!
:(
