Most Disturbing Moment In A Film

The BBFC cut the scene but C4 showed it within their Sex and The Censors documentary in 1991 and they even played it twice - and got into trouble for showing that aswell as censored bits of other films still cut today like Death Wish 2.
C4 were told never to repeat the show so I'm glad I recorded it

I too have advised people close I know to avoid watching, I had no idea what to expect before viewing apart from it was would be violent and revolved around a porn actor.
As went through the film I was completely stunned, at times just in a trance and kept watching out of curiosity and the storyline.
Even though I knew it was all fake it really did hit me and I felt for the characters.
I'm sure they'll be some frenzy soon in certain parts of the media regarding the film.
The film will most certainly give the director a name i'm sure! I don't know if it should have been made or not either and probably doesn't do Serbia any favours, especially after the atrocities that went on during Bosnia/Serbia war.
I'd say this is the most extreme film i've seen apart from the likes of Traces of Death which showed real life stuff, going through the thread i've seen most other films listed and was nowhere near shocked although fast forwarded the rape scene in irrerversible. god knows who the next film will be like that trumps it extreme wise.

Agreed. Those kiRAB looked genuinely petrified for their lives. I never thought they'd actually go through with it!

Was v.shocking/upsetting to watch.

the hostel films - especially in hotel part two when one of the wealthy killers cuts the young girl to death and bathes in her blood. Sick

Yeah agree with this, most of the scenes are pretty disturbing in terms of being viewed as 'entertainment', same with the SAW films, maybe I am getting old but they are just sick.

This. I don't know whether the film itself could be any worse than the images I have in my head, or whether I should just watch it to get over the idea of watching it...

I watched the latest (2009) 'Funny Games' first. A good film always inspires me to watch the original, which I did. I preffered the remake but I think that is because I watched it first. The films are so very scene similar. An excellent film and one of my all time best.

Requiem For A Dream, well is a very dark film.

i was watching watchman the other day. I hated all of it but the most Disturbing Moment for me was the child murder in it. and you saw the dogs crunching on her bones.

It really made me feel sick.

The initial scenes in Inside aren't actually that bad, when she turns up at her house it is quite tense and I was enjoying it at that point. Then it in my opinion it fell apart and it contains some the the stupidest Characters i've ever witnessed on film.

I watched this over the weekend as well, have to agree with everything you say about it. What it made me realise is that everybody in horror films are crap at escaping, instead of just waiting around a corner and twating him over the head with something she decides to drag her unconscious friend around in the slowest possible escape attempt ever.

I don't know whether this qualifies as 'disturbing', as I guess the context is to do with gruelling guts 'n' grue. But I've just watched Carrie again, and yet again the scene where Carrie comes home after the prom to a house full of lit candles and that overbearing church organ music had me in emotional pieces. I don't know what it is, I think perhaps the combined power of the realisation of what she's just gone through, and the realisation of what is yet still in store for her just in her hour of utmost need.
