Most Disturbing Moment In A Film

The funniest thing for me has been reading about The Human Centipede and finding the comments about it the most disturbing thing I have ever read, and can never view the film...
I suffer from IBS I hasten to add!!!
 
the scenes in Nil By Mouth,wh.ere a drug fuelled Ray Wintone sets about Kathy Burke,truly disturbing,but brilliantly acted,How scary is Ben Kingsley in Sexy Beast even big Ray is wary of him. Two absolutley fantastic movies though!
 
I gave Grotesque a go as well until I realised it was utter crap and had no point at all, personally all these extreme gore type films just do nothing for me, I don't find them disturbing in the slightest, just rather silly and pointless.

The French film inside was a film I had heard a lot about before watching, turns out it's total trash, it's one of the stupidest films i've seen in a long time, it might work as a comedy but shocking and disturbing it certainly isn't.

Martyrs on the other hand had an effect on me, I don't like the film but I don't think it's a film you're supposed to like or enjoy, the second half of that film actually left me feeling quite depressed. At times I wanted to switch it off as I had seen enough of Anna's abuse, I found it hard work to get through (I think you're supposed to) and I was left with the second half of that film playing around my head for a long time afterwarRAB.

I think Martyrs deserves the praise it gets, it certainly disturbs and for a film to leave such a lasting negative impression on me would suggest it does it's job as a film.

It's far more disturbing than any of these silly gore flicks (which I find are basically just films that people like to brag about seeing to show off how extreme they are) if you ask me.
 
Just watched it (A Serbian Film)... wow, that's quite a movie. But yes, very thought-provoking.

Definitely not for the faint-hearted, though.
 
That is a myth although the film was unpopular at the BBFC.
Even though the film is still cut in the UK I hope Ferman is turning in his grave over the material we get now that he deemed unsuitable-silly old pratt

The US Bluray of Ripper is very nice
 
When i was a kid it took me about 5 sittings to get through the scene at the start of american wereolf in london where jack gets killed by the wolf...and after i managed to get past that, the dream scene were the nazi monsters kill his family freaked me out
 
The scene in Antichrist where the wife takes a pair of scissors to her anatomy. Hell the whole movie is pretty damn disturbing.

The end of Indy 4 when you realise Spielberg and Lucas have taken your money yet again.
 
For me it has to be the botched electrocution in The Green Mile. Can't actually watch that bit, not just because of how it looks but because of the screams, it turns my stomach, I think I actually cried after I saw it for the first time. Really nasty.
 
Haven't seen it but tyheres a forty five miunte rape see in a movie called I spit on your grave which i have to reserch for my film project.
 
The scene in Itchi the Killer where the gangster pours hot oil over the guy who's already hanging up by hooks ... I watch some weird films.
 
Frontiere(s) is a belter.... Its amazing in fact, not very well known here. Maybe hollywood will **** it up by remaking it as most americans cant be bothered reading subtitles.

& the end of Eden Lake, the what did they do to her in the bathroom part ?

SOme churny bits in Centipede too, Like when the Japanese man apologisies for having to go to the toilet.

Somebody else has actually seen this film!!!! Love this film but it's rarely ever mentioned :)


The most disturbing scene? Dennis Hopper with his inhaler in Blue Velvet :o...that was uncomfortable viewing.
 
Thats why despite Ferman and his female censors getting in a right old state over the movie for over a decade we now have a legit release with only that scene still affected by cuts
 
A cow is beheaded live on camera in Apocalypse Now. And chicken heaRAB are shot/blown off live birRAB in the opening sequence of Pat Garret And Billy The Kid having had lighter fuel sprayed in their faces to perk them up ready for the shot.
