Most Disturbing Moment In A Film

Another one:

In ChilRAB Play 3 when Chucky kills a man in the back of a garbage truck. The very man who had jumped in to save him!

IRREVERISBLE - most of the film - but in particular the 15min rape scene and the opening where the man gets his head smashed in (one shot no cutaway shots). sick

I've seen more horror films than I can remember. Seen all sorts of sick and twisted stuff over the years.
But the one scene that really sticks out as truly disturbing, for me, was in the film Chicago Joe And The Showgirl. Theres a scene where the characters played by Kiefer Sutherland and Emily Lloyd give a girl a lift with the intention of killing her. It enRAB up with Keifer SutherlanRAB character smashing her on the back of the head with a crowbar.
What freaks me out about the scene is that she just doesn't see it coming. He hits her from behind. When she has been smashed on the the head she says something like "What was that, what was that". She has no idea what has happened and I find her reaction truly disturbing.

A lot of rape scenes coming up here.

The scene in 'Blue Velevet' is creepy and the scene in Scum is just arse clenching.

What disturbs me most about this sort of thing is the spate of these films such as "This is England" and "England Expects" use the word England almost to be synonymous with racism, when the truth of the matter is that England is one of the more tolerant of the minor countries of the British Isles, and possibly of a great many countries.

In the directors cut of Robocop, When Alex Murphy is getting shot up, his hand gets blown off and then his arm, finally a shot to the head.

Theres this film where a couple in their 30's maybe early 40's go to a beach and meet some young chavs. They get into a fight and end up running away. The chavs are on drugs and pursue them and torture them. The parents end up involved too.

Certainly with "This is England" is portraying a time in the early 80's when there was that element but there is a lot more to that film than just that. Your suggestion that the word England is synonymous with racism it a bit of an interesting statement.

What is the most disturbing moment you have ever seen in a film?

For me one of them would have to be in Schindler's list when a Jewish man gets shot in the hallway and his skull is like electrocuted and all the blood starts pouring out....

Horrible stuff.

I'll always remember watching my first proper scary movie - Scream, and i got so freaked out as i was like 14 or something...

I've seen many an eyeball slicing before in extreme movies, but the nipple slicing - I felt that! :D It's not the worst scene I've ever seen in a film, but for some reason, that had me squirming in my seat a little. Maybe it was the knowledge that it was that scene the BBFC cut that got me a little uncomfortable.
