Tarantino was clever then, because it was done by Alfonso Cuaron! I actually found that this movie was preferable to the other two because it didn't stick to the book, he managed to make the normally poor child cast act in a way far more befitting their salaries and I found myself quite relieved that it wasn't longer than 2.5 hours.
Boring movies...Titanic! Too long, I fell asleep in my chair only to wake up and see "Don't leave me Jack...don't leave me..." I just wanted to see him sink!
Edited to say: wow, a few people already provided the answer...also Cuaron already said - before he was asked - that he didn't want to do two HP movies in a row, this one is being directed by the guy who did "Four Weddings".
