Most Anticipated Album of 2009

I think there's a thread like this already somewhere or other.

Anyway, from what I've heard Nick Cave's going back to the studio with Grinderman after he finishes touring, which will probably be this year. Apparently he wants to rein things in a bit more with them and make a Bad SeeRAB-esque album this time, which is just fine by me.

I think it just came off as kind of sedate compared to Golden Age of Grotesque.

I'd love to see him go for something wild again that's along those lines. He doesn't have to repeat the past. I'm not saying that. I'd just like to see something kind of free-wheeling and very much into the concept of dark comedy.

How do people know if it's meh if it isn't even finished yet?

I'm looking forward Muse's next album, but recent interviews have hinted that the release might be in '10.

most of mine i've already got the leaks but,
grizzly bear - veckatimest
papercuts - you can have what you want
pink mountaintops - outside love
peter bjorn and john - living thing

Me too. I was also anticipating the new Mastodon, but it came out yesterday and :D. Porcupine Tree has great albums, but Steven Wilson is pretty cheesy in the DVD - especially during "Arriving Somewhere.." Anyone else catch that? It almost ruins the entire performance for me.
