More4 : The Dancing Boys of Afghanistan

Watching it at the moment. Only 10 minutes in....hope something horrible happens to this dirty old b'stard by the end of it.
 
Did anyone else see this? I watched it on 4 on demand, i have to say it was one of the most truly shocking things i have seen in years. The men were basically raping young boys, gang raping in some cases and they were publically acknowleding it on camera.

How the f *c* is this allowed? There are some horribly sick, f* c *ed up individuals out there, its aboslutely tragic. :(:(:(

At lest the poor little boy at the end got saved, but just devestated about the rest of them :(:(:(
 
Do educate us on what aspects of pushtoon culture we should know about to enable us to watch repeats of this programme in comfort and full enjoyment next time.

Are you about to tell us that the UN international Charter for the Rights of the Child do not apply in Afghanistan/NW Pakistan?
 
Did you mean it is not that surprising?

I cannot understand how one cannot be shocked and sickened by a film about the organised and open corruption of young boys; even if one has heard about it before it is still very shocking.
