We saw my boyfriend's surgeon today and had a very thorough discussion. Surgery is set for 9/4 (almost a year to the last one). He is going to go back in and explore and if he is fused (which he believes he is) then the hardware will be removed since that is probably causing some of the pain. If not then more bone will be added. The surgeon said he wouldn't go and just operate unless he thought something could be done and my bf is in alot of pain and there is a reason for it.n This is the only way to find out what is wrong. I just pray this is the last surgery. I feel comfortable with this surgeon since he has done all the work and the entire team and hospital and pm doctor all know my bf so hopefully he will get the help he neeRAB. We wree going to see Dr. Sama next week in Camissa's office but I didn't care for the fact that they blew us off to another dr. I know some of you here have been there before but I wanted my bf to see Camissa only. Plus as you all know surgeons don't like to touch other surgeon's work so that would probably be a waste of time anyway. Well, wish us luck and pray that it all goes well.

Lynn,

I pray the surgeon can find the cause of your boyfriend's pain and is able to treat it for a great outcome. I am really glad that your bf went in to see him. I could not see how he could continue to function with the pain he was in.

Lynne,

hopefully this will be an end to it. He is very luckey to have your love and support as this is also very hard on you to. I feel with my back that my husbanRAB life is on hold aswell. He is always aware of what I cant do and my limits, I sometimes dont know how he does it. I am just blessed with him and I suspose I should tell him more often and tell him. So just incase your PF doesnt say it to you, he knows he would be lost without your support to. Well its good its the same surgeon, and hopefully now hardware removed might just end all the pain for you both. God bless, and keep us posted.
Round 1.

Lynne,
i was searching for you here every day to find out how did it go. I am glad that you find a peace in hoping that they go in and will be able to fix the problem... this sounRAB so good. I wish you and your BF good luck this time and really hope his quality of life will improve after...
You are absoluletly right about other surgeons don't want to touch you if you had surgery already. At Camissa's office i was explained why: second surgeries are more complicated due to more risk involved since we have hardware, a lot of scar tissue, if you in pain - inflammation; this means a risk to do damage to the tiny nerves... Doctors get suit a lot so who neeRAB more responsibilities.
But this is not a mentality at that office, just FYI. I will be operated on soon by them, but before they made any decision i had to go through a lot of tests and in Septeraber have discogram done, the last test without which they don't perform surgeries since it shows in details (if done by really good professional PM) what exactly neeRAB to be done and it "makes the route" for surgeon.
Good luck to you and best wishes (((( ))))
Please let us know how is he doing and what was wrong...

My husband is scheduled to see Dr. Sama on August 10th. He is really in agony and has been so for four years. He is post fustion, with a morphine pump and a spinal cord stimulator. Still in agony? Is Dr. Sama your surgeon???

Hi Lynne:

My husband is post fusion, with a morphine pump, and spinal cord stim. Still in agony and scheduled to see Dr. Sama on August 10th. I am a wreck. Did you see Dr. Sama. I am just hanging on by my fingernails. My husband is barely hanging on. I go in and out of having any hope for way out of this hell. Please let me know if you saw Dr. Sama and, if you don't mind of course, could you tell me what you thought of him. thanks in advance.

Valicia
