More for those who don't drive - what's the longest time you'd travel to a cinema?

The absolutely closest cineworld to me is 1 hour, 19 minutes away according to traveline southeast.

Two buses, a train and a trip on the docklanRAB light railway to get me to West India Quays.

I think i'm going to have to resign myself to never having an Unlimited card :(

I actually took the plunge and tried the journey last week.

Took 75 minutes, door to door on the bus - slightly longer coming back, but no more than 90 minutes.

Actually a really easy bus journey all told - 3 buses, but no messing around and the bus at the other end stops literally just across the road from the Cineworld in Bexleyheath.

So obviously now i'm considering it again :)

Maybe you should go for it.

I've just realised that the nearest cinema left showing A Prophet this weekend is in central London and the TfL journey planner quotes 98 minutes to get there by bus! I only live a few miles away, but with all the engineering works the tube is hopeless at the weekend so it looks like I'll be spending three hours sightseeing (and three hours in the cinema).
