More Exciting Warner Bros. Animation news!

"Duck Dodgers" was a passable series. I think this new Looney Tunes show could be good.

But, nobody from The Simpsons or Family Guy or South park should be touching this series.

I actually read elsewhere their hiring comedians from The Groundlings to write this new show.

This is some excellent news. I've been watching many of the classic shorts on a local spanish channel, and it made me miss those old gagfests.

Hopefully, this could lead to CN airing the classic shorts alongside them. It would be interesting to see just how much of a difference two generations of animators approach this project.

I'm really looking forward to the new series. Hopefully the original Looney Tunes characters will make way to their roots the same way Tom and Jerry did in Tom and Jerry Tales; only with more entertainment.

No and yes, OGB.

I'm not sure if this hasn't been posted, but rumors are circulating that WBA is now working on DC Animated shorts also, particularly working on Jonah Hex first. It sounds true, but WB has to confirm it first.

"They're des...picable!!" ~:daffy:

That's what he might say if they're is still no planned date on when it will be released on TV.

The amenities this new show should have will include (but unlimited to):

  • A mix of old and new
  • Same traditional 2D animation
  • Same occurring and re-occurring jokes
  • Original style of the characters
  • Laughter and comedy involved
All-in-all, I think the new show will be a blast! (even from a past!) :D :anime: I can't wait. :)

There has been a thread dedicated to this subject on GAC for over a month now, but aside from that, I still have mixed feelings about this. It would be great for the Looney Tunes to come back to TV, but this project could be very easily screwed up if not in the right hands. But, they do need to do something, I mean aren't they still coming out with a new Marvin the Martian movie? Wouldn't this new movie fail without exposure of the characters, just like Back in Action did?

Anyways, as for the title, this is the biggest thing I don't like about the project so far, because it reminds me of both the Laff-A-Lympics and Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In. They need to come up with a better title, IMO.
