I recently purchased an iPod touch battery jacket for my iTouch 4th Generation before a trip. On the plane I used up my primary iPod battery, then my Jacket battery. Upon arriving at my destination, i plugged in my Jacket/iPod into a wall charger. I checked back about an hour later, and noticed that my iiPod had been fully charged. But the jacket was still showing 1 lit up LED charging light. When i unplugged the jacket/iPod, i pushed the battery check button and it showed 3 LED lights. So going about my day, i eventually needed to use the jacket battery. The jacket battery was used up entirely far to quickly then on my first use.
The Jacket is a Mophie brand iPod Touch 4G Jacket, BRAND NEW, and had never been run down to Zero power on the jacket before this event.
My question is this: Is there any explanation as to what has happened and what i can do to fix this? Is this on the grounds for a return?
