Moonshine? Yesnomaybeso?

I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I live in Norway, here the government control all distribution of liquor (everything above beer). And it's damn expensive. Also, you gotta be 21 years to be able to buy from those government stores (can't remember the english name for them). I love everything above 60%, so my question is, should I just buy Moonshine (metanol scares me at times ) or should I just buy beer and other girlydrinks?

I envy americans. Driver's license when you're 16.
Liquor at 18. (Am I right or ain't I wrong?) And cheap firearms for whoever wants them! Yay!

Help.

In the US the drinking age is 21. No beer, no liquor until then. (Granted, people do it all the time anyway but that's the law.) States control the liquor regulations.

There are states where you can buy any liquor you want in a grocery store, other states like mine where beer and whine are in the grocery stores but the hard stuff (anything over 14%) is sold in state owned Liquor Dispensories. Then you have states like Utah where all alcohol is sold in liquor stores.

At any rate, don't risk the moonshine. You don't know how it's made or what it's going to do to you. Getting drunk really isn't worth it. All alcohols are poisons, it's just that the alcohol in wine, beer and hard liquors isn't as bad as most. Some alcohols can cause permanent blindness, others can kill you in just one shot.

But I get to become dizzy and walk in a peculiar way..
..surely it must be worth it?

My best friend is the main provider where I live, he buys it from some 40 year old single guy. I've never had any problem with it, I've kept my vision to date!

Seems you americans got it almost as bad as we do.
Oh well, you're right, I guess. Beer for me from now on.

Here In finland you get to buy up to 21% (alcohol) when you are 18..and stronger than that you have to be 21 :) but my sister/other friends always help me with that problem ;) and uhm..now I've lost my point

Well were i live, moonshine is pretty much standard in many social circles. And generaly accepted in society. (shure, its illegal, but so is marijuana, and firecrackers, does not make it wrong)

I live in a small town (70k people aprox.). So if a supplier is a greedy bastard, selling bad booze to kids he wont stay in business (or in good health) for very long. So its pretty safe to use, as long as you test it.

But if you dont know anyone with the RIGHT connections, like an unkle/friend/parent making it for personal use, or someone you know and trust getting it from a similar source. Dont bother.

And even if you get it from a reliable source. NEVER forget to test the stuff.

It's the same as Uber's state here in Georgia. Beer and wine are sold in grocery stores. Liquor in liquor stores only - we call them package stores as well by the way.

Oh and absolutely no alcohol is sold on Sundays unless your establishment earns atleast 50% of its profit from the sell of food, i.e. restaurants - not grocery stores.

Forgot to ad that in Sweden you are alowed do drink anything in a licensed drinking establishment (bars/restaurants and so on) but you are not allowed to buy it att the liquor store before the age of 20.

So come on over and drink all the 60%+ alcohol you want Flidripp! =)
But the tax is a killer so bring lots and lotts of cash:D

That's why I like military installations. If your 18, and as long as you stay on base, you can drink anything you want! Of course, in San Diego liquor stores are open 24/7 including Sunday's!! Sailor's paradise.

^ thats Australia buddy but they changed the driving age to 18 now(very recently) just to fucking get your l's  so this year i plan on getting my car liesense not like i need to i ride my dirtbike illeagaly every where.

Umm, have you been out for a wile, this has been changed to no drinking if your under 21. There was an open mast for 7 airmen who were caught drinking under 21. They got 2 and 2, and deduction. Now I ain't saying I haven't heard a kacky say don't get caught, but it aint leagle anymore.

In MD we have drive through liquor stores but they can't sell after 130 in the morning. For what it is worth, there are 20 liquor stores with in a 30 min walk, but only 2 churches with in an hour drive.

Fuck it, cheers.
