MoonScoop looking to produce 5th Season of Code Lyoko

Someone was apparently sent This e-mail from a Moonscoop employee (another one). This doesn't confirm anything, but with a MMORPG that has a $2 million budget, this whole "Code Lyoko Reloaded" thing, as well as the novels (which the potential season should be based on), it doesn't seem too unlikely.


Put this in GA because I highly doubt CN will have anything to do with this show anymore. If this were to happen, I could see it heading to Nicktoons, seeing as how they're hungry for action shows and have done deals with Moonscoop in the past.

wait. But won't us US fans have to wait for a dub release?
Totally spies was different. Those last season eps were already dubbed.
So if CL does begin production of a season 5, it'll be in french right?:confused:
We'd have to wait maybe a whole year...
 
Initially it will be in French, yes. But they'd definitely get an English dub going, though there's probably no guarantee the original VAs could all get in... if not, Crispin Freeman could make a good Ulrich.

In the event that this happens, I hope they're based off the novels (which are pretty awesome. They're not in America yet, but they include a new XANA-puppet named Eva Skinner and a much darker plot and such.)
 
Could be interesting. I'm still hoping to see the rest of seasons three and four, though. Maybe a new show would prompt some more DVD releases for the original show.
 
As the reciepient of those e-mail I'd like to confirm they're valid.


As to the comment about the VA's, it might be fairly easy. Last I heard all the VA's lived in Paris (for the American dubs).

As for who airs it in the US... CN is the only one that can besides Kabillion. They own the rights.

We're about to launch a huge campaign to persuade CN to regain interest.
 
I doubt CN can own exclusive un-expiring rights to a show unless it's an original series. The likelyhood of Code Lyoko ever seeing the light of day on CN USA again is slim to none.



Even if they did get it, it wouldn't get a good timeslot. It's air on early weekdays like Hero 108 and Metajets under likely circumstances.
