Moonlight shadow video clip - what statue is this at the beginning?!?

The version of the song 'moonlight shadow' by groove coverage has a film clip in which the very first scene appears to be set in some sort of circular monument with a tall statue in the middle. It looks a lot like a large roundabout I've seen, in the middle of which is "the statue of liberty" in Palermo, Sicily, but I would like to know for sure. I can only imagine there are lots of statues out there look like this! If anybody knows anything about the filming of the clip I'd love to know!
