Moody Kids in Movies

Why is Hollywood obsessed with this phenomenon? I recently saw 'Hide and Seek' and 'The Ring 2' not to mention 'GoRABend', 'Darkness Falls', 'Sixth Sense' etc!

Can't they make a horror film or whatever with a happy child in it anymore?

Do anyone know of other films in which a moody infant gets up the audience noses so that l can avoid them!
