Mood swings after surgery?

As I understand it.it's the after effects of the anaesthetic that causes mood swings, it takes a few weeks to be fully out of your system
 
Four weeks ago I had Nephrectomy (Kidney taken out). I have healed very quickly and am able to do my normal every day activities. But I have noticed over the last week I have been gettgin very grumpy and irritable with everyone, and my family keep commenting on how grumpy and snappy im being. Could this be related to my surgery? And should I mention it to my GP when I next go for my check up?
 
Yes, it is normal. I had a lung biopsy two and a half weeks ago and I have just snapped at my beloved son on the phone. He is a wonderful son and I have just phoned to tell him I'm sorry. I never snap at him.
