Just a friendly reminder. It airs tonight at 8pm on NBC. A repeat will air after it at 8:30pm. All the actors from the movie are in this as well.

I enjoyed it. I saw that the Doctor was going to throw his candy coming. I was hoping in the end that he was going to say something smart and not give his candy to the kid.

I loved the animation.

While I enjoyed this special overall, for God's sake, the next time I hear a reference to the Scarface line "Say hello to my LITTLE FRIEND...!" in an animated movie, I am going to strangle a kitten.

"Monsters vs. Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins from Outer Space" Talkback (Spoilers)

This was pretty good. Perhaps I should have watched the movie after all. I?m still not entirely convinced that an entire series of this would work, but I suppose it?s possible.

I saw one potential flaw: the only way to create any challenge for Susan is to have something bigger than her. And she's the only one who can fight -- all the others are inept. The team isn't very well balanced.

I noticed that. Having never seen the movie (but liking this special), I just assumed they worked something out there. Okay, so Insectasaurus is huge and can fly, and Dr. Cockroach can make stuff, but Link and Bob don't seem to have a whole lot going for them. I guess they're kinda done in by their defining joke traits...

They all faught in the movie, but yeah, Seth Rogen and Will Arnett are the comic relief. So, they don't do much most of the time.

Actually, BOB is pretty useful. He can't feel any pain, can shapeshift, and can stretch.

The Missing Link's the useless one of the bunch. He can only swim really fast.

6.39 million viewers tuned in for the special at 8pm. It was the second highest rated show on the timeslot. And the 7th highest rated for the night. Game one of the World Series between the Yankees and Phillies was #1 for the time slot and night. ABC's repeat of It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown was watched by 6.32 million viewers during the same time slot. The airing on Tuesday was watched by 9.3 million viewers.

Well, we technically know that a Monsters vs. Aliens sequal is out of the question.

As for the Halloween special, I just have to say that I prefered the animation in this TV special A LOT more than in the movie. And that's pretty rare coming from me.

It's just that they seemed to add a lot more effort when it comes to detail, especially B.O.B. In all my life, I honestly never thought that a blue blob would look so incredible.

I also agree that the Scarface lineneeds to take a 100-year-long vacation.
