As part of my A level media studies course, I have to do a project on women in film. I have chosen to do women who play less glamorous roles. I was wondering if anyone knew why Charlize Theron was chosen to play the role of Aileen Wurornos. I have tried everywhere to find this out and it would be great if someone could help me out .

Im also doing 'Boys Don't Cry' and 'My Fair Lady'. Yeah, I agree that Charlize Theron did a damned good job playing an ugly-as-hell prostitute

Its a study of actors that are usually very glamorous, but chose to play unglamorous roles. So like Nicole Kidman in "The Hours".
