Monster anime

Has the Monster anime based on the manga ever been officially released in the US (I know there are fan translations out there)? Does anyone know if there are any plans to?

Monster is licensed by Viz Media, and will appear on the FUNImation channel soon.

I'm mad that Viz is not announcing a DVD release for this show. Hardly anyone has the FUNimation channel.
