NOTE: if you see things that say [to the 3rd power] or [2nd power] those are all EXPONENTS. idk if you can put them properly in here so i just wrote the problem like that.

1. Find the GREATEST COMMON FACTOR of each pair of Monomials. Show ALL work.

a. 6p [to the 3rd power] and 2p.
b. 12x [ to the 3rd power] and 48xy
c. 6m [to the 2nd power] and 9m [to the 4th power]

2. Factor each polynomial. Check answers.

a. 4m[4th power] - 12m[2nd power] +8m
b. 7k(k--3)+4(k-3)
c.2x[3rd power] +x[2nd power] - 6x -3

3. Factor each trinomial. Check work, Show ALL work.

a. x[2nd power] - 11x + 30
b. x [2nd power] + 10x + 9
c. x [2nd power] - 6x - 27

4. Factor each trinomial. Check answers. Show ALL work.

a. 5x [3rd power] + 17x + 6
b. 2x [2nd power] + 5x - 12
c. -4x [2nd power] + 11x + 20

5. A ball is kicked straight up into the air. The height of the ball in feet is given by the expression. -18r[2nd power] + 12t + 4 where the t is the time in seconds. Factor the expression. Then find the height of the ball after 1 second. You must answer both questions to get full credit.
