Mono questions

Im 25, a dude - normally in good health.... but...

I was told I had gotten mono December 29th/30th. The first 4 days were a nightmare of fever + sore throat from h*ll. The doc gave me that week off (really only 2 days) and my new years was screwed. I went back monday the 5th, and she told me to take this past week off as well. The liver looks good etc etc....

I've taken 2 weeks off of work, and literally done nothing but sleep, rest, eat and repeat. How much time is recommended a person ACTUALLY sit out? I work in a shop so it's not the easiest job.... but at the same time I'm not exactly over-worked.

The doc didn't say anything about comin' back this week for a follow up. Even as I sit here tonight I'm still tired after only being awake a 6-7 hours im still "fuzzy". I am sleeping irregular patterns, but my throat feels good and my diet is good. There is some "tenseness" in my left side. I know it's mr. spleen being bigger than he should, but should I be working if I can feel it without doing any physical activities? If i put pressure on my ribcage there is some slight pain.

I am rarely ever sick, so I have little to no experience in any of this,

Advice / suggestions would be awesome :)

Thanks in advance!
