Monitor Flashing Primary colors.?

When I shutdown my computer (or at start-up), my monitor flashes red, green, blue, black, and white--I have to turn off the monitor at a specific moment or it will just stay on like that.

Anyone know what this issue might be?

The monitor is an ACER AL1715.
I don't have a hefty graphics card in this CPU. It's just a generic one that comes with the Compaq PC.

Does this help at all?
 
there may be a fault in your graphics card...or your chipset.....or something related to graphics.....reinstall the drivers given in the cd...

say if u have nvidia graphics card....use the drivers given in the cd
intel chipset....use the drivers given in the cd
