Money, Girls, and Destiny...

Suck. Period.

Alright, well, I have a girl, she's amazing. She also lives half the country away from me. In order to get that far, it takes alot of money. To get alot of money you have to get a job. To have a job, you have to live somewhere. Money to live there. Vicious cycle. Well, I don't wanna pull out loans or anything, be a lot like pulling the blanket on my own shoes mile, or however that stupid saying goes... Anyways, looking for advice. Anyone travel across the country and find a place to live within a week? I actually have a ride there if I figure everything out by thursday, but not much else I can do. So lost, so little time, so much stress. (I start college in Florida in september as well, so it'd be nice to have a place to live XD)

Hopefully you wisdom filled people can help me out ^.^

When you get there commit a small crime. Jail could solve your housing issues for a few days...

Other than that...I have nothing.

Depending on where "there" is, there may be decent employment options. The question is, what are your qualifications?

There are many factors that will aid you in getting a job anywhere, such as age, education, skills, personality, ect... It's entirely up to you to find a job. Are you willing to work a low pay, food service job just to have some cash flow until your golden opportunity arrives? One more thing to think about is, how much does this girl mean to you? Can you find a job where you currently live for a while longer, save up some cash to use as a back-up if you don't find a job "there"?

Will power my friend, cause if there's a will, there's a way:D

You might try investigating employment opportunities in that area via the internet (craigslist, local newspapers, etc.).

Other than that, I'm just curious about the, "blanket/shoes mile" saying you referred to.

Yes! I moved 400 miles about a year ago and because I had done the research ahead of time, I started my job two days after I moved. Apply to work for the city (they hire everyone), fast food/retail/etc (most places have an online application system, just type in the zip code of where you want to go), and craigslist. You can find work, but it will pretty much occupy every second of your time before you go. Start NOW!!!! Apply to every single job you can, whether you'll like it or not.

Wait, are you saying that you can apply for jobs on the internet? What next? You can look for apartments on the internet? And are you saying that anyone that's bright enough to post on an internet forum should understand how to find these things with tools like "google"?

To the OP: My question is does this great girl know that she's YOUR great girl and that you're going to move across the country for her? Because showing up on her doorstep unannounced is probably going to freak her out a whee little bit. Her husband too.

Where is FL are you moving? If you are going to school here I am guessing the school has some people who can help. Students loans aren't a horrible idea just be careful and not take out as much as you want but rather how much you need.

Wow. That's awesome! True thinking right there, human ingenuity!

So I got online, I found a job and a place to live online! Wait, no money! Damn!

Anyways, I got it figured out guys. The point was that I didn't have anywhere to live in a week. Fortunetly enough there are other options, those that don't include moving to Florida right off the bat. I guess sometimes people get caught up in the moment of things though XD

Oh, and btw, stfu noob. I asked questions for different problems then you served answering to. You ruin the internet, troll.

Redi-Whip: comes packed in a can filled with gases that destroy the ozone, and make Al Gore cry like the enviromentalist pussy he is. However, it is most assuredly piss-proof.

That's why I only buy Redi-Whip. /me Smiles and holds can up here.

I know what you kids do with Redi-Whip.

I was making a joke as Uber once claimed (jokingly, of course) that the internet was made of whipped cream.
