I just started my new aquarium (10 gallon) and added my first two fish - two dalmation mollies. I used water conditioner, detoxifier, and stress-zyme to the water and let it run around 36 hours before adding the fish. They tend to hang out in the plants for the most part, but occasionally they'll dart around the tank like crazy chasing each other or swimming around the filter current, particularly when I feed them. One chases every bit of food it can grab from the top, the other tends to wait and pick at pieces that float down from the surface.
Is this normal? At first I thought maybe they were just enjoying their new space, but I've also heard that erratic swimming can be a sign of bad water conditions. How do I tell?
