unless you can see signs of parasites on her, or the other fish, she is getting ready to give birth, if she seems quite frantic and hasnt birthed them after a while then im afraid you may lose her, it doesnt happen often but if a fish is under stress whilst pregnant she can do one of two things: 1, she could abort her young and eat them or absorb them into her body 2. if she was ready to give birth she could have held on a little longer, during the time you have had them she may have tried birthing again and the fry are too big now. she might be stuck, it could take her longer to birth the fry (can be around 25, sometimes even 40!) and leave her exhausted, you should moniter her and remove the fry if you can, her brain will supress her appetite for 12 hours, but it wont stop the others from eating the young. some people say remove the mother, but i wouldnt, it could cause more harm than good.

I've never kept mollies, but I have kept other live-bearing fish, and this kind of behavior is fairly normal for short periods before birth. If she's of breeding age and has been housed with males, its probable that she will give birth.

Also, if she's the only fish behaving the way, you can probably rule out most tank diseases. Pregnancy is likely here. To answer some of your other questions:

"If so how many should i expect?" -- Here's the real kicker about mollies: Once your female molly is pregnant, she will produce fry here and there for 5 - 6 months. Yes. From one mating. Usually she'll have, oh, maybe 15 - 25 every month for several months. However, unless your tank is set up for this, I can guarantee you most of them will get eaten.

"Do they all come out at once?" -- When she births, she'll have one come out every now and then, usually spread over 1 - 2 hours, as I said, once a month.

Ok people let me tell you whats happening. Firstly we got some of those molly fish and we noticed one of them had a huge stomach. So we guessing its pregent because it certainly looks like it is. So anyway we have had them for what 2 days yesterday i noticed that they all keep going to one corner of the tank. Weird but we left them to it. Today I saw the pregent one she keeps going up and down the side of tank. Up and then down to the corner. Once she is down she rubs her belly on the floor and then she goes back on. She keeps repeating this.Other fish keep on getting in the way but even though there is some there she keeps rubbing she once even actually rubbed on another fish. So what the hell is she doing? Are her babies coming? If so how many should i expect? Do they all come out at once? Or is she just being plain weird? Please tell me because she is still doing it as i write.
