Modernized Laff-a-lympics?

In honor of the 2008 Olympics starting today, thought this might make for a fun (non-list) thread... what three teams of characters would you like to see make up a modernized version of the 70s Hanna-Barbera cartoon "Laff-a-lympics", and why those particular teams?

One amusing set of teams, in an "battle of the adult-oriented cartoons":

Team One: The Simpsons cast. The Simpsons themselves, plus maybe several others (Principal Skinner, Apu, Groundskeeper Willie, Moe, Mrs. Krabappel, etc). Figure Willie's physical shape should help things for the Springfieldians, plus Moe would make sure they have at least one funny line per appearance. :-)

Team Two: South Park. Cartman, Stan, Kyle, Kenny, and Butters, plus some of the adults---probably at least Stan's Dad and Mrs. Cartman. Mostly kid-heavy I admit, but seeing as the kids are the ones who do most of the plot-resolving work on the show anyway...

Team Three: Adult Swim. A mix of the cast of Harvey Birdman and Space Ghost Coast to Coast, plus the cast of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Figure between the likes of Master Shake and Zorak, they'd be the ones most similar to the Really Rottens...

What're your choices?
 
I once read a Laff-A-Lympics fanfic in which the Really Rottens had been replaced with a new team consisting of various Cartoon-Cartoon characters called the Dexter Dynamos. As I recall, the Dynamos' roster consisted of:

  • The Powerpuff Girls (Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup)
  • Johnny Bravo
  • Courage
  • Cow
  • Chicken
  • I. M. Weasel
  • I. R. Baboon
  • Ed, Edd & Eddy
  • Sheep (from Sheep in the Big City)
The Yogi Yahooeys and the Scooby Doobies teams each got 2 new members. The Scoobies got Jabberjaw and Scrappy-Doo and the Yogis got Baba Louie and Magilla Gorilla.
 
Or, what about a Team Nick, Team Disney, and Team Cartoon Network? I can see it now:

We would get arguably the best Laff-a-Lympics in history. :D
 
My only nitpick about this team: Why no female characters? You could easily had thrown in Minne or Daisy, or any one of the Disney Princesses. Some possible suggestions:

My idea of a new Laff-A-Lympics would go beyond the original concept of just doing a parody of Battle Of The Network Stars by giving it a broader range of teams competing, more like the Olympics that the title is based off of.

Meaning no one will want to see them compete. Compared to their superhero personas, the secret identities are about as popular to kid viewers as Zeppo in a crowd of Marx Brothers fans. I mean, Blue Falcon didn't compete on the Scooby Doobies team as Radley Crown, did he? Hong Kong Phooey didn't compete as Penry Pooch. So why should we be deprived of seeing our favorite superheroes compete on a team comprised of nothing but hereos?

Re: superheroes competing: Have to agree with Silvestar---I'd want to see the superheroes compete, not their alter-egos. :-)

To throw out another question: any ideas for what sort of events you'd want to see the teams compete in, and where they'd be held in? One interesting aspect of Laff-a-lympics was the events were usually held in a real-world location (vs., say, Bedrock or Jellystone Park), with the events tying into said locations (such as scaling the Eiffel Tower in Paris for "capture the flag")...

I have to question the presence of Elmer Fudd and Wile E. Coyote on this team. The former barely qualifies as a true villain. In fact, Friz Freleng created Yosemite Sam in the 1st place because he felt that Elmer was too stupid and pitiful to be a worthy adversary. As for Wile E., well, he was mostly just hungry. I personally never got the impression that the Coyote was evil.
