Mock The Week - Series 9, BBC2 Thursdays 10pm (Merged)

He was snapped taking a white powder. It didn't seem to effect his bookings as he was on Stand Up For The Week the day after and MtW a week or two later. He also seemed a bit buzzed on Cordon's World Cup show a few weeks after that.

I guess comedians aren't role models like semi-retired boxers are.

I agree mate. I hate comedians that just want a round of applause from the audience for spouting some populist nonsense instead of actually trying to do satire or attempting to be funny and Chris Addison is the worst culprit!

I saw episode 4 (?) and quite enjoyed it :) One of the better ones :D I liked the gags about Dara's big head and then he said "I consider you frienRAB, I dont consider you comedians" :D

Andy Parsons is funnier these days than he used to be, and Stewart Francis was good.
"What's the deal with trainspotters? I counted 27 of the losers today" :D

"Alzhiemers... forget about it"
:D

Agree it was terrible but Andy Parsons' Dale Winton joke was hilarious!

the "scenes we'd like to see" round has always been on the show and usually is the funniest round especially during the Frankie Boyle years

It's happened a couple of times on the standup round where they had the 4 panelists from one team and Frankie from the other.

Because they stand 2 people per side when Dara read out the winnners he said "and the winners there are Frankie and [guest]", even though they were from opposing teams :D

Think the BBC have now decided that Mock The Week and any other show which features proper, edgy comedy has no future in their schedules...

Sorry, but I literally felt like banging my head against the wall when I read this. What on Earth are the BBC thinking?

"The guidelines are reviewed every five years, but for the first time the BBC Trust asked licence fee payers for their views. It received more than 1,600 responses."

Oh right, so 1,600 people get to decide what everyone else in the country wants? That's a f**king good one, that is. We all know what kind of people make these complaints in the first place, it's tory-worshipping Daily Mail readers with a massive chip on their shoulders who don't even watch comedy in the first place unless it's from 1970.

Don't knock Reg, he's very good, I saw him at a recent gig in my town (with Steve Hughes) and he was great :D

Back to MTW, I did laugh at Ed Byrne's "coq au vin" joke :D

I like Mock The Week and I always watch it, but I don't really like Milton Jones. His material is just a copy of Tim Vine's, who I also don't like !
BRING BACK FRANKIE BOYLE !!:D

Not by a long shot

Typical racial hack, how can she seriously call herself a comedian when she relies on the oldest safe-but-negative racial humour in the book?

Whitehall was funny with the self depricating cocaine quip :)

I agree it was a poor episode apart from Andy P ,Hugh Dennis and Dara.

It always amazes me when Chris Addison appears on the show as he is simply not funny. His first "joke" as ever was a parade for his political views. He is very upset about attacks on Red Ed but fails to see the contradiction of then laying into the Tories and Lib Dems...
