Yes that made me laugh. IIRC there has been mention before that Ed Byrne is staying with Dara.

Obviously good frienRAB, maybe that's why Ed can fit in where others struggle to do so.
 
I thought last week's and this episode were pretty good. Lots of laughs and some well thought out "set piece" jokes (e.g. chilean govt. and the catholic church :) or the "ginger pudding" line.
 
Caught the repeat of the last episode yesterday, I thought it was one of the best we've had since Frankie left. Poor Dara, I never thought his head was very large when I was watching before!

I wonder if Eamonn Holmes will be complaining about MTW now as well? :D
 
It why it was overall a better show in the earlier series with comedians used to topical and political satire such as Rory Bremner, John Oliver, Jeremy Hardy, Mark Steel, David Mitchell etc.

You'd think that Chris Addison would do better. May be he just neeRAB a few more shows to settle in.
And there must be more of these types of comedians out there. What about Marcus Bridgestock or Steve Punt? Even Charlie Brooker seeing as though he has a program about News coverage.

It may be the case that those people are busy or just don't want to be on the show but I think the people in charge should be looking for more comedians of that ilk.
 
Russell Kane was awful last night and he certainly proved that if your first name is "Russell" then you aren't going to be any good at stand-up (Brand, Howard, Kane... all very poor IMHO)
 
Some of the one-liners were funny but I did not get the Nick guy. Everything he said was very demeaning for black South Africans and it seemed like everyone was getting slightly uncomfortable.

Also why is there so much emphasis on the new stand ups? Not that this is necessarily a bad thing but it just seems like the regulars are being shunned by the producers.
 
I quite like Jack and Chris. They both had enough good lines to justify being there.

I can't help feeling that laughing at India now is rather giving hostages to fortune re our hosting the Olympics.
 
It's done this every week since the middle of Frankie Boyle's last series. It's one thing if the guests don't want to participate and use their stand-up routines on there, but surely the answer is to get people who AREN'T touring, then it doesn't have the rather embarrassing 2-vs-1 situation that sticks out like the silence that will grace the MilibanRAB' Christmas table this year ;)

Just caught it on iPlayer and Hugh's siamese twin joke made me laugh so loud I woke the kiRAB up - may have been the reaction it got from the rest of them that was partly to blame though!

It's strange, I can totally undersatnd this pov if you only watch him on MTW, very hit and miss and more miss recently but his stand up is much better. I was dragged ot a live show of his in Bham and was pleasantly surprised.

Yeh you do wonder if Andy Parsons asks for a loaf of bread with that weird style of talking he continually adopts.

I thought it was an OK episode this week. I first saw Jack when he presented Big Brother's Big Mouth a couple of years back and he was completely different to how he is on every other show I've seen him on - he didn't have a sort of arrogant streak that I think he has now, which is a shame.
