"Mobile Suit Gundam 00" on Sci Fi's Ani-Monday Series Talkback (Spoilers)

Setsuna: "I am Gundam!"

Ha, when I talked to Brad Swaile at NYAF, and asked if he had any good lines for this show, he said "Oh yes, I am Gundam! I am Justice, I am Gundam! Kinda the same."
 
I'm glad to say that I'm finally happy with Graham and Bill's voices. They aren't so much of an annoyance anymore- hell, even Saji has grown on me, I suppose. He does still sound like a toddler though XD

Way to place the blame on everybody but yourself, Tieria. Take responsibility, Tieria! You are not suitable, Tieria! Go sleep with VEDA, Tieria!
I loove Hal. He's so crazy. He sounRAB amazing too. Oh man, Al's whole "I DON'T WANT TO SHOOT" was fantastic. I watched that part over a couple of times just because it came off great- by far one of my favorite moments. I adore the complicated relationship between Hal and Al.

Eventually Marina neeRAB to realize that shes not getting anywhere, especially since Alejandro is a dirty rotten bastard. She neeRAB to start accepting some hard truths. You can't run a country with out being prepared for worst case scenarios, because things cant always be settled peacefully- you have to accept the bad before you can celebrate the good.

lol Setsuna doesn't really blend in all too well...and attracts little boys. I want to hug him when he's upset ;_; Setsunaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Of course Ali is kidnapping old folks. Only he would pass around the term 'infidel'.
 
I personally find his dub voice to be spot on. Above all the others he really stanRAB out as the perfect choice, and this is coming from a Hiroshi Kamiya fan (I have Zetsubou Sensei to thank for that)!

Of course the real test is still to come, but we can say that for almost all the voices at this stage.
 
I was mostly talking about Louise when I said that. Mainly I couldn't remeraber her name at the moment because I usually shut my brain off when the political jargon comes up so I just said a generic unspecific comment.
 
Wow...so Sci-Fi gave Gurren Lagann's ending better treatment than Gundam 00's. That's gotta say something...

Maybe they were disappointed by Gundam 00's lack of fanservice. C'mon, didn't Sumeragi's cleavage count?
 
Hahahaha Setsuna and Tieria get married. That trailer was priceless . I really hope they dub that for the DVD released.

As for the episode itself it was pretty good. Watching Setsuna taking on Alejandro and Graham was awesome. The team up of Allelujah/Hallelujah was great too.
 
Well I give then credit for trying to give these reality shows a "Sci-fi" theme. Even then stuff like Chase does not belong.
 
I know that Sci Fi has had holiday specials the weeks of Christmas and New Years for the last couple of years, but that's not the case tonight. Instead the Armed Intervention continues with two new episodes of Gundam 00.



Last week Celestial Being came head-to-head for the first time with Ali Al-Saachez, a mercenary currently working for PMC Trust. Using a new Mobile Suit seemed to give him the upper hand against Setsuna, but when Setsuna called him out for a face-to-face talk to confirm identities he was interrupted by the other Gundam Meisters. Saachez retreated, and Celestial Being went on with their mission of destroying all the Armed Forces in Moralia. The actions of Celestial Being in Moralia led to a worldwide terrorist cell attacking each nation simultaneously and saying they would continue if Celestial Being didn't stop. Each national government sent Celestial Being data on the terrorist cell locations, and Celestial Being performed an Armed Intervention on the terrorist cell and wiped it out of existence. Tonight the Armed Intervention continues with two new episodes.

Episode 9- The Dignity of a Great Nation
Episode 10- Operation: Gundam Capture

Heh, sucks for them.

Yea, Im going to be patient and wait for season 2 to get to Ani Monday. I dont wanna ruin anything before it gets on tv here.

But, im sure Sci Fi might reair gundam before season 2. If im guessing right, Season 2 might show the same time as Season 1 did just a couple of months ago, so we have from now till next fall/winter for season 2 (just my guess). If they can re air season 1 of gundam before season 2 comes, then there is some closure there and is a good step for people getting to season 2 who missed season 1.

From what Ishtar has told me over Skype a few days ago, they are working on the dub for season 2. And eventually Bandai will have to put Season 1 out on dvd sometime this year.

Like i said, these are just guesstimates of mine...
 
Good set of episodes tonight. As people have said, some VAs sounded a little worse than last week's set, but I'm sure we'll work into them.

Also yeah. Saji = Gabe Khouth, a.k.a. Nicol in Gundam SEED.

Sumeragi's is nice. I'm not hearing as much Murrue in her, and I love Soma's. This is the same VA that did Fllay obviously in SEED, but also did Roberta, the Killer Maid (
