"Mobile Suit Gundam 00" on Sci Fi's Ani-Monday Series Talkback (Spoilers)

Agreed. That's quite possibly one of the most ridiculous statements I've ever seen in my life. Saying someone deserves getting shot by a freaking particle cannon while celebrating someone's wedding? Animated or not, no one deserves that unless they were a mass murderer... like Nena. Saying Mrs. Halevy deserved that because she was rude to Saji? Give me a break. She was just being protective over her daughter.

Gah. I so want to rant now, but I'm just confused by how stupid that comment was.

And yeah... if there is a bright side to this episode, it's definitely Graham laying it on Johann. Shows just how "good" these Trinity truly are. Only beefed up because their Gundams are more modern, and have more power... but the skill of the pilot is shown.

All right. Sci-Fi dropped the ball, proving that Ani-Monday still has a ways to go. This isn't right. I've decided to fill in the gap. Just to be clear these are NOT spoilers, you were supposed to see everything shown below. I'm only using spoiler tags for the pictures out of courtesy for posters that might have slow connections. I'm going to take this on chronologically after Saji sees the sign of a Gundam four years after the finale.

Be sure not to miss the "trailer" that HC posted.

EDIT: Decided to put the whole thing inside a spoiler tag just in case there's somebody who wants to be completely surprised for next time.

**Daybreak's Bell is playing**

FEDERATION PRESIDENT (yes, he's black, it may or may not be an Obama reference considering 00 entered production early 2007, move along): It has been one year since the United Nations was renamed the Earth Federation. With the approval of all 328 meraber nations and the dissolution of all national military forces, I am proud to announce the birth of the Earth Federation Peacekeeping Force under a united command.

**the asserably applauRAB and cheers**

FEDERATION PRESIDENT: Once our peacekeeping force becomes the world's sole army, the world will be truly united. We will do everything in our power to be the guiding force that makes this possible.

**Scene change. Marina Ismail is watching the address on television. She turns to see Shirin bowing and taking her leave, presumably moving on to other things**

NENA TRINITY (voiceover): Mistress, did the world change after all?
WANG LIU-MEI: Who knows?
NENA TRINITY: Don't you approve of the current world?
WANG: I have great hope that the world will continue to change.

Ribbons (scene change): It has begun, Innovators. Humanity's future......

**montage of three shots begins. No voices. Can't find a good pic, but Ali is shown drinking alcohol--he's not dead**

**cut back to Saji, who is looking upon the Earth from the same spot as he was earlier. Daybreak's Bell enRAB**

Now, this part Sci-Fi didn't even show in passing during the credits. They could have at least shown this afterward, but no.

**Cut to a massive asteroid in outer space, then to the rest of the scene**

IAN (the Ptolemy's mechanic and technican, if you need a reminder): It must have been a tiring trip, mistress.
WANG (accompanied by Hong Long): What's the status?
IAN: One of them is finished. It's being tested for corabat readiness.
WANG: And the other suits?
IAN: They'll be finished on schedule.
WANG: If you don't mind, there's something I'd like to see. The first generation suit?
IAN: Roger!

**Ian accesses controls and opens a hangar door. Nena Trinity is shown watching the entire conversation on a monitor elsewhere**

WANG: This is 0 Gundam. The first mobile suit ever equipped with a GN drive.
IAN: We've already tried moving its drive for a test fit. But it didn't match either. I wonder if Exia's drive will work...
WANG: The mobile suit that will change the world. 00 Gundam....

Now you know.

Wow they built that base up fast.

Illinois? What the heck is in Illinois wroth protecting?

Joking, joking. What, too soon?

Yeah, what Nena did was wrong. Still, you have to admit, her Chiyo-chan cuteness makes up for it

Yes, but we all know militaries like that don't really need a reason for what they do. It's basically "If they have Gundams, they are a threat. If they are threats, they are our enemies." Well.. it's that case for anyone except Ali who poses as someone apart of the military. D:

And yeah, I agree. Alex Zahara did a great job in Lockon's role.

God I love Kati. "You really had me worried there.. you silly durabass."

Ali: "Blood for Khrone!Skulls for the Skulls Throne!"

Those crazy Chaos worshipers

Ah, McNeil is just so perfect for Ali's voice. It just screams "Bad Dude".

Even Ali admits Celestial Being is hard to remeraber. I also love his goatee of DOOM!

Is it a good idea for an all-male military force to have a female commander dressed like that?

Wow, I haven't read anything at all about Season 2, and I think you've just spoiled me. Ah well, I don't care. It'll be a ghost in the vein of Schwarzwald or Kamina, right?

Hmm.
So we're getting a masked blonde guy (who's "most definitely" not Graham Aker) next season? With things like this and the Trans Am system, Char would be proud.

Dynames' massive rifle is still quite impressive. Awesome stuff.

"Someone with that temperament shouldn't be piloting a Gundam."
"And what about your temperament?" Preach it, Sumeragi.

Tieria's complaint is durab. Yeah, Alleujah disobeyed and Sumeragi intervened to help him out. As she says, she protected Kyrios. Was she supposed to let him die as punishment and sacrifice one of the only four Gundams in existence in the process? Tieria's just being a hardass.

YAY I can't believe you noticed the reserablance! Since this show first premiered in Japan I've been pointing out how Setsuna looks exactly like Ritsuka and how Grahams buddy Katagiri (billy) looks like the spitting image of Soubi in some instances. Thats one of the reasons that got me interested in this show. Recently I realized that Kio reserables bits and pieces of Libbonz and Tieria too. Seimei Aoyagi is also very close to Lockon.

What the...

How...what...how did they...Did they just like read the completely wrong series premise?

(And for christ's sakes, it's Zeon)

We can probably look forward to Tieria angsting over his departed Lockon. With juicy homoerotic subtext. Although that's assuming Tieria survives tonight.
