"Mobile Suit Gundam 00" on Sci Fi's Ani-Monday Series Talkback (Spoilers)

Ali is likeable in that he's completely unlikeable. Compare that with Nena, where people really liked her cute-but-clearly-nuts demeanor until she did something REALLY psycho. Ali is a bad guy through and through, and he's loud and proud about it as well.

It was even better when the Japanese version was airing, one episode a week. We had more time to be like "Aww, she's like a crazier, hotter Flay!" before going "SHE MUST DIE!"
 
Ideology does seem to be the tie that binRAB the Gundam Meisters. If you're going to give someone such power, you need to know they're commited...though that does raise the question if the Meisters did similar to Wing and rebelled. Does Celestial Being have any safety measures for that? At the minute, despite Tieria's griping, the Meisters seem to be able to do as they please. All it'd take is for one to go power mad...

I'm starting to hate the voice work in this series. Most of the characters sound like they are in a dire need of antidepressants... All the voices are so bland, and most sound like I've heard them already (which I have, thank you Ocean. )...
 
Not the mention the adaptation is sound enough that it doesn't sound like at times some of the dub actors trying to finish lines quickly. Like I believe once Athrun's "I'msorry" in Phase 20 and Rau's statement of "Husbandnwife" in Phase 07.
 
Well guess we'll be waiting a while for S2 to air since it hasn't finished in Japan yet so roughly by the end of the year, It'll be interesting how all the VAs work into their roles in the second given some of the events that has happen (especially Graham's VA).
