"Mobile Suit Gundam 00" on Sci Fi's Ani-Monday Series Talkback (Spoilers)

Not necessarily, as his Death Note role was actually a major breakout from his old Gundam roles (among others). Not much is heard in the trailer, but Setsuna's voice sounRAB pretty unique to me compared to what he's done before.

Pacifism through armed intervention. Eliminate war by causing more war.

I just love Celestial Being's messed up logic.

Also, sped-up tiny credits. And, I loved the first ender.

I think where it comes from is that the two often share similar temperaments, especially early on here. I think they part ways because of the severity of their backgrounRAB. Heero was trained to be a blank slate that lived to obey orders, period. Not at all a good existence and that fact is a tragedy, but compared to what Setsuna went through...Setsuna comes off as having a lot of regret and guilt that he wants to make up for. Heero had a terrible childhood, but at least he wasn't manipulated into killing his parents for what he eventually realized was just a bunch of propaganda being peddled by an unprincipled mercenary.

I'd say that Setsuna transcenRAB Heero. He shares some issues and personality details, but he was definitely written as a more complex character and the circumstances of the two are quite different. Heero was simply written as a stoic soldier that eventually managed to develop into his own person.

Ah, I've only seen a few episodes actually so it's mostly new to me. I haven't really been following it, the story actually looks slightly better than most Gundam and the character designs are better but for example, girl-hair boy pilots annoys me. That's what I mean by fan-service, appealing to that kind of sensibility.

Well, assuming I'm right about Bandai's pacing, let's look at the schedule.

According to Sci-Fi's schedule, 00 will be airing every Monday without interruption. At that pace, season one will end on February 16. If I'm looking at the calendar right, season 2 will end in Japan on March 22.

Four months separated the first and second releases for Code Geass, which isn't as bad as it sounRAB since they are basically putting out two volumes and eight episodes at a time. Let's assume that Bandai will do the same thing and get DVD's out the door a month after the season one run at worst, in March, and then follows a Geass-esque schedule. That means part 2 comes out in July, with part 3 coming out in Noveraber. So assuming consistency, their release of season two wouldn't start until March of 2010. More than enough time for Gundam 00 to be completely released in Japan.

At best, 00 probably follows a three month schedule, which is what Toward the Terra (a long-since completed series) has followed. In that case part 2 is June, part 3 is Septeraber, and season two part 1 comes out in Deceraber in time for the holidays. At that point the first eight episodes will surely be out in Japanese DVD, so I think that this is in the realm of possibility as well.

Getting back to Sci-Fi, if it actually goes through all 50 episodes nonstop then the run would end on May 11. That is less than two months after the end of the show in Japan though, so as I said if that actually happens I'll be both surprised and impressed. If the show takes a couple months off though, that could be enough time. I think it kind of depenRAB if they're actually dubbing season two already or are close to that, but I'm not sure that anyone knows what the score is. I might be able to find out at Katsucon in February.

Well Bandai did get Gurren dubbed on an incredibly short timetable, but due to the Japanese premier being so late, this would be even harder.

If Bandai could do it though I'd be impressed.

(Looks at ep) Is it any coincidence the first suit to counter the Gundams reserables the original MS-06?

Saji = doormat.

Maybe it has to do with the fact that M and N are so near each other. Or they sound all too similar. Or that my brain is already filled with the technobabble of Star Trek, Star Wars, Gundam, Warhammer 40k, Dune, Starcraft, Command and Conquer, etc. etc. to remeraber correctly the names of all technology of all of them.

To put that into perspective though, most people, even exceptional people, would die fighting against the odRAB CB does if their tech wasn't as superior.

Except you're wrong? Get your Gundam series straight, yo. 0083 was actually a longer series. You're thinking of Mobile Suit Gundam 08th MS Team.

Well Ali's a bit more forgivable here because more then likely Kinue would have gotten in trouble sooner or later to begin with, plus we already knew he was an ahole to begin with, Nena did something completely random and awful while she was still probably thought to be cute and cool.

Least thats what i can gather/how i see it.

You're kidding, right? I'm not trying to flame you or anything but what you stated made no sense. Just because Kinue was going to get into trouble sooner or later doesn't make her killer any less forgivable. C'mon, its like forgiving a cop-killer just because police officers jobs are dangerous.
