"Mobile Suit Gundam 00" on Sci Fi's Ani-Monday Series Talkback (Spoilers)

So many deaths in these four episodes, all because those writers will do anything to keep us glued to our seats.

GUNDAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!!!

Anyway...next week is one last episode we're getting for a while. I wonder if it can surpass the drama that's appeared tonight--and I wonder if I can handle it...

RIP
Kinoue
Michael
Johann (not even these two deserved to leave so soon)
Lockon
Lichty
Chris
Patrick (I'll miss his arrogance)
Laguna (meh)
Ali can burn in hell for all I care...

I almost feel sorry for the military forces trying to capture the Gundams. All those mobile suits and man-hours dedicated to catching the Gundams and they lose them in the end.

Then I remeraber that they dangled nuclear material in front of terrorists and the sympathy surprisingly vanishes. I wonder how far they would've let the terrorists go with that material.

I wonder where these new Gundams actually came from. Aren't there only five GN Drives? If something fishy is up, Corner is starting to seem likely. Though maybe these new Gundams really are part of the plan.

The mystery deepens...

... Smell that, i smell Gundam back on TV. God, thats a great smell.

From what i saw (since i got off work early this evening), dub seems pretty good. Finally, something to watch on TV and look forward to, and to tape.

From what i saw at the beginning of the second ep, this is basicly, a redoing of Gundam Wing. They fight for their own beliefs, and old man tells them what to do, theres multiple nations, its all political. So yea, like Gundam Wing, again.

Ah, but i see no market off of this. No way to get MSG 00 models and MSiA in toys store, no way for me to spend my pay on Gundam toys in this country. I really... miss those days.

Well, my VCR is back in taping anime again. My old Sharp VCR and i have a long history of taping anime, good ones too. But, i really need to do DVRAB, seems better, and takes up less space. Recording on DVD neeRAB to be my next step.

But, its good to be back in the taping anime game again. Im outta retirement by god...

It has an interesting tune to it. Something unlike the numerous bubbly pop songs that dotted the SEED series. Unique, and very different, and well animated too.

I like it. (For now anyway... =p)

Hello, class. I am Professor Funkenstein and I would like to give you a basic rundown of tactics and corabat as it pertains to the Gundam 00 universe. Let us begin, ya?
There are a nuraber of different aspects to consider in warfare, but I believe there are 5 that are most important
Soldiers and manpower. Basically, the more soldiers you have on the battlefield, the more likely you are to succeedWeaponry. The more advanced and efficient the weapons your soldiers wield, the more effective they are in battle.Infantry skill. The more well versed your soldiers are in corabat, the better.Intellegence. This is a major factor. Intelligence involves knowing your enemies strengths and weakness, knowing your own strengths and weaknesses, as well as knowing of the terrain, the climate, etcThe most important factor: strategy and tactics. This is a culmination of the first 4. A good tactician can use all of the previously named resources and use it to thier advantage, playing on their strengths and playing down thier weaknesses and vice versa of thier enemy's forces. Now, to look at this season thusfar, Celestial Being and the Gundams have been largely successful mainly because of thier focusing thier strengths to compensate for thier weaknesses: Though there were only four Gundams, the Gundams were far superior than any other mechs on the scene, the pilots are quite skillful, they have a vast intellegence network and rely on the forcasting and strategies of Sumeragi L. Noriega. All of these have given them an edge and have so far allowed them to be unmatched in corabat. The only times where they've run into trouble have been when they've met the "aces" of thier enemies (#3) or have met a force backed by the tactics of a rival strategist (#5).

In the past two eps, however, the Gundams were totally and utterly pwned, as you young folk would say. Though the enemy had always had more forces than the Gundams, they used it to thier advantage, overwhelming the gundams with force and nurabers. The Alliance also put thier aces in the forefront, bringing thier skill onto the table. Though they were at a technological disadvantage, by focusing on thier strengths, the tri-bloc alliance almost got what they wanted.

Now, any comments?

Ah, yes. Sumeragi's puppies are quite the delightful distraction.

And my favorite character, Ali Al-Saachez finally appears. You will all learn to fear this god amongst insects. Eh, as for his voice....I guess I'll get use to it. It certaintly does have that sinister tone to it.

All Hail Prince Ali!

I'm finally starting to warm up to Al's voice, and just in time. Hal shows up, and he doesn't sound too bad!

Darryl had a line and.....augh. Good thing he's a minor character.

Ali shows up for the first time and man is he awesome. It helps some that I love Scott McNeil (he's great and hilarious, inside anime and outside).
