Hey there

My phone was stolen abroad and my bill almost reached £2000. Now I can't afford to pay this bill to be honest, even if they half it to £1000!

What are the legal actions that will be taken against my self if I don't pay?
I'm with O2.

(If you ever have done the same, please state that in your reply)

Thanks ;)

You should have contacted your supplier as soon as you discovered it missing.
You must talk to O2 as soon as possible. They may be able to help.
Good Luck

Dear, HannaH

im sorry that your phone got stolen.
and im sry but ive never got my phone stolen. but if i was u, this is what i will do.

first off, you might want to talk to your parents(if you are below 18)
and than you might go to police, or best way, call the lawyer.

they will have more good ideas than i do.
but i will suggest you go to the phone company that you signed to,
and tell them your story. and have them close your accounts till u find the bum who stole your phone.

you might get consolation money, you might not.
but i jus hope you dont lose anymore money.

good luck

you should have had a set amount of minutes on your contract phone so i don't understand how 02 has aloud your bill to reach almost £2000.surely they knew something wasn't right.

Unlike credit cards, where customers are only liable for the first £100 if their plastic is stolen, mobile phone companies can recover unlimited losses racked up by thieves.

if you don't pay the £1000 to 02 you could be black listed, phone them and say your taking them to court because it's obviously not your fault.

didnt you get insurance? you shud ring them and ask for a direct debit or a payment slip so you can pay what you afford every month, i have the same thing i lost mine in uk but just forgot about it and now i have to pay the bill, but i pay £10 a month. just ask them. ps. im with o2 aswell so they shud do the same thing for you what they done for me
