Mobile Phone Blocked. Not my fault. URGENT.?

I got a phone off ebay at christmas. All has been going fine until now, and now my calls have been blocked. I recently found out, that it was an unwanted upgrade advertised as new, and was stil on contract when sold to me. I cant contact the seller. Now, T mobile have not been helpfull at all. So here is my question. I need my phone urgently for today. Afterwards, im going to go to the police station. But for today, would using another t mobile SIM card work? Or what about unlocking my phone to vodafone, and using my old sim card in it?

ok well you can try a new sim card no ne can Lock a phone like that all you should need it a new sim card hope i works xD most likely it is the sim card all u gotta do is but a new one put in it and i will work xD
