Mn Vikings are mucking up my summer

Where I go to college also happens to be the summer camp for the Mn Vikings. Because they're on campus, I cannot move in to my room when I was supposed to, so I now have to move twice. (I'm being put in a room across campus for a night and then I have to move all my shit across campus the next evening.) It doesn't sounds like a big deal, but it is because I live 3 hours from home and that means that all my shit will be left with me and then I'll have to move it shopping cart by shopping cart across campus like an idiot.

Also, there is no parking while the vikings are on campus. They make you pay extra per day to park because they want to make money off of the people who come to gawk at the players for the day.

Because everyone is catering to the Vikings, I cannot get a hold of people to make reservations for things that I need to make reservations for. (I am the secretary of RHA and it's my job to reserve rooms for events.) This inability to communicate with the people I need to talk to until after I move down to campus makes my workload the first week almost triple.

I know I sounds stupid, but this really gets my goat. Why do they have to live on campus while they train? Why couldn't they go to the U of M and use the "Golden Gophers" field? It's closer to the staduim anyway. I know the school gets oodles of money to have them there, but I'm getting really fucking tired of everything being purple and gold and vikings.

FUCK THE MN VIKINGS up the ASS!

There, I feel a little better now.

Umm.. Why are the Vikings playing at your campus, Do they not have a stadium of their own. Are they building a new one?

I don't follow sports much anymore.

Sorry to hear about your issues. Be happy you're not a single mom and trying to go to college at the same time. Think about how stressed out you would be then.

but, Yeah, Sorry Mag!

If you have to work, then they should have accommadated you or waited one more day so you wouldn't have to move twice. Also, they should give you a parking pass. Things you might mention to them. They could at least help you move the second time, by taking some of the money they made off the Vikings and pay some smuck to move you.

They cannot practice in their stadium because it is shared with the Twins.
They would have to alter the Metrodome for football and that takes some time. Plus the university stadium is just sitting there empty. It's more economicly sound that way.

As far as a new stadium, They have plans for one but construction hasn't yet begun.

Most NFL football teams open camp at college fields. I actually think it's pretty cool, but then again I dont go to a school where NFL teams work out. My perspective is slightly different.

PS. The Vikings have always sucked ass anyway.

No, I'm not. I've never even been there and I'm not a fan. I just knew that because I knew the Twins shared the Metrodome with the Vikings.

I'm from Tucson, AZ.

Haha. It was like a heat index of 115 degrees today and the vikings still had to practice. I got to see my dorm complex on the news. I guess it isn't all that bad. :upto:

Yeah, Tucson's nasty 106 degree heat left and went up to the Dakotas and Minnesota. It's been raining and one of the suburbs has flooded and has been declared a National Disaster Zone. Our normaly dry rivers are overflowing and a bunch of people are going down to look at them.
