MMS not working on my new cricket motorola VE240

Have you called Cricket's Customer Service to ask what the issue may be? We know the following based on your posts:

- Your phone is capable of receiving MMS messages (you can email them to yourself)
- Cricket is capable of receiving MMS messages (someone that you know on Cricket is not having this issue)

Doesn't seem to add up.

It was a $17.17 payment, $15 was for flex and $2.17 was to cover some charge for the free month.

I activated the phone March 18
Made payment March 19
Nuraber got changed to fix problems on March 20

Now the money is gone!

It is not my blackberry, it is not all the carriers having the issue, its cricket. I send a mms message to any cricket phone from my bb all my frienRAB receive my mms from my blackberry they all can send me a mms to my blackberry, NO ONE CAN SEND ME AN MMS FROM ANY CARRIER TO MY CRICKET PHONE! That is an issue with cricket! If cricket does not fix the problem I can care less about there return policy, I will call my credit card company and retract all charges, unlike people that get cricket because they can't get a phone anywhere else I am only trying there service before I port and so far everything is great except the mms. If they fix the mms problem I more than likely will test the service for a good 3 months before I port all 5 nurabers i have. MY only reason for porting will be to save money!

instead of pontificating and making pointless threats on a public forum, why dont you go into a corp store and ask someone to refresh your account? Take a non cricket phone that cant currently send to you with for demonstration purposes.
This forum is not populated by cricket technical people whose purpose is to fix you problem. You have been given advice in numerous posts including this one. Why not try acting on some of it.

I thought to receive MMS messages your phone had to be a camera phone. The VE240 isn't a camera phone. I might be wrong on that. But I did read that somewhere.

Guess you shouldnt have let them change your phone nuraber. You should have sent me your nuraber like I asked. I would have gotten it fixed for you.

I did not get your message till after the fact, I do thank you though for offering to help me. I have contacted the store manager and there will be a resolution to this small problem, either I get proper credit on the account or I dispute charges through my credit card company. I know it's time consuming but I do not like getting pick pocketed..lol.

If you have a transaction nuraber (qpay or first tech) whichever payment system theyve used, they should be able to do a payment research on it over the phone takes few days but works.

I gave them there own confirmation nuraber and that was not good enough, so I was told to drive to a corporate store 1 hour away. Not going to happen. In this day and age I can not believe a company would have there billing system so 1960s Visa years! They are leaving themselves open for a class action law suit.

What would the class action lawsuit be about? Losing Flex Bucket funRAB (which are explicitly non-transferable) when you refuse to go into a store so that a refund can be issued?

You had a very strange situation. Your phone could receive MMS messages (via email) but not from other providers. Cricket fixed your issue and is offering you a refund for your Flex Bucket. Yes, I agree with you that it sucks that only a store manager can issue this credit, but "class action lawsuit"? Give me a break.

You've been pretty schizophrenic in this thread in my opinion. You've insulted Cricket customers (saying they can't qualify for anything else which is absolute garbage) and just generally acted like a petulant child. I hope for your sake that you stick with the service, because you are not going to find a higher quality network and feature-level without paying significantly more. I would just tone down the rhetoric and relax. Life is too short. It's only $17...

On the other hand you can follow through with your plan to do a chargeback on your credit card instead of working with the corporate store that has already offered you the refund. That's one very silly option and part of me hopes that you go through with it because your future posts in this thread about how your service got canceled for failure to pay will be highly entertaining.

Nicely put. My response in the same vein was ban worthy.

I wish this guy would just cancel and move on. Class action lawsuit? LOL. One person suing isnt a class action suit. Small claims maybe. I also wonder what a chargeback would get him. The cc company will investigate and find that he got just what he paid for. A phone and a free month.

Nice of him to thank me tho :D

FYI a class action lawsuit can be taken if groups of people whom money is taken because of a policy that should not be enforceable by law. Keeping someones money is stealing regardless of a company policy. An agreement with an illegal clause is not enforceable. Obviously 1 case would be very costly. I was not offered a refund by a store, by phone CS said I had to drive to a store to prove I gave a payment. I have disputed the charge and if in fact they shut off service I will then at that point dispute all charges from cricket.

More like dj2dramatic.

This thread fails to disappoint. Are you sure that you actually had money in your Flex bucket and didn't just dispute your activation fee?

Either way, you're hilarious. You were an enormous amount of fun in the T-Mobile forum when you were complaining (over and over and over again) that you didn't qualify for the Loyalty $49 Unlimited plan and were posting replies with caps lock turned on. It's nice to have you here now too.

Keep up the great work and please continue to let us know how it goes.

I would like more information on your account please. Please pm your phone nuraber (either one). I am curious about just what is going on here.
