MMS Not Working (More Info)

No I dont work at any cricket store and Im confident they have WAP enabled on their account cuz 1.- Thats the first thing I tell them when I sell them the phone is to get on the $50 plan and 2.- Cuz it was working fine for them and then just out of nowhere it stopped working sometime in the past couple weeks like the first post of this thread stated. Ive had them call cricket and refresh their account and still nothing. They will send but not receive. Any other ideas?
 
I've been sending just fine. It was the downloading of the picture messages I got I was having trouble with but I guess it couldn't hurt to add it.
 
Heh, for once, I'm gonna help a noob out, just because this answer isn't easy to find with the search

Search for a thread started by Berry_lthird about how to flash the vx9900 to cricket. Use the same instructions (but you do need the correct driver for the 8500. Find it on mobile-files.net)

all that is true, but he meant dll file instead of driver...that will help you find what you need a little easier...

look at this guy ^^^^^ he does have a heart afterall.
 
thanks to the ones who actually gave a thoughtful answer. if it was easy as searching i would have found it. but being a noob...i wouldnt guess that i would have to use the 9900 instructions.so thanks to badutahboy
 
Looks like this thread went a little off the rails.
Is anyone still having problems downloading MMS' after the you get the notification in your inbox on Pocket PC's: mogul, 6700, Touch, etc.?
I thought that maybe Cricket might have made changes a couple of weeks ago because I flashed a couple of 6700's and they worked fine for web and outgoing and incoming MMS. Then, the fully functional ones I had flashed and the others that I now flash won't download incoming MMS without the registry hack.
I am in Denver and I've tried different WM5 & WM6 ROMS with no avail.
Beezle says he hasn't had any luck with the PPC's either.

Could this mean that nobody has incoming MMS problem?
Hey, guys. I'd appreciate your input if you are also having problems with ANY flashed phone getting incoming MMS to work right.

the moguls always have a prob...the LG never do...some phones are a little different than others...try to0's new wm6.1 rom for your moguls when it comes out...he will be trying to fix the mms issues...

good luck...i always tell folks that the mms on a ppc acts funny and doesn't always work...that's my disclaimer and then when they call me after a week and say it quit working, i say, hmmmm...told you already.
