I doubt it

Look at the 2008 sced, tell me how many games they were broadcasting in HD a day in August ......... then look at the 2008 press release ( from last april ) and tell me how many games they were saying were going to be broadcast in high definition

HD games from EX ( Plus Jays game )

1 PM - Reds/Mets ( ESPN feed im guessing )
2 PM - Tampa/Boston ( NESN/FSN Florida or ESPN )
2 PM - Cleveland - Texas ( STO Or FSN Southwest )
3 30 PM - Colorado - Arizona ( FSN Arizona or Colorado )
4 pm - Pitt - STL ( FSN Pitt Or St Louis )
4 pm - NYY - Bal ( ESPN Feed or Yes )
7 PM LAD - SD ( FSN Prime Ticket )
7 PM - Hou - Chi ( WGN OR FSN Houston )
7 PM - Tor - Det ( Sportnet )
8 PM - Sea - Min ( FSN northwest or Minnesota )
9 PM - Ana - Oak ( ESPN Feed )

Pretty good for opening day if i must say so myself, 10 HD feeds + the Sportsnet Jays game = 11 Of 13 HD games for opening day

Only games not in HD or KC - CHI and FLA - Wash = NO REAL LOSS

The free preview is from April 5 to April 11.

The price for the season is $159, 4 payments of $39.75.

I find the info link for you and your response is to send me searching for more! your welcome. :(

Watching this afternoons games on the free preview HD channels and they look superb. Watching on 65 inch Toshiba......baseball never looked better.

I'll say it.....thanks Haystack! I have been waiting for more "official" info.

I don't want to sound mean or anything, but if you thought the pq on the HD MLB channels was excellent, then you must just be a new Bell HD customer. I watched some of the games this evening in HD and they were all soft, with motion artifacts, and no sharpness at all. Just looking at the field and all the blades of grass weren't detailed period. I've seen more detailed stuff on Bell although it's been a while. I just wish Bell would get the PQ back to where it was 2 years ago before this HD lite everything in 720p and 7-9 mbps garbage started being sent to us. There is a tremendous loss of detail and pq when you go to 7-9 mbps from 13-15mbps.

I agree with markb that the hd games in the Extra Innings package look soft. It was the same last year. Bell TV is my only legal choice as my local cable company offers the package in sd only.

Hi tvme,

where did you see the pricing information? I looked at the guide and saw the free preview bulletin but nothing about price?

Also remember that Bell added two more HD channels in the middle of last season, so they do have a total of 6 HD channels for Extra Innings. Now lets say there were 6 HD games on in a night, with 3 west coast HD games later in the night, that would be 9 HD games that night. Add in some Rangers or D'Backs joined in progress, and there would be 10 or 11. Bell has the capability to show that many games, it's just a question on if they will.

yeah last nights Dodger padre game was in hd but not on bev as well as the d-back rockie game :( sad.

Also Rogers sportsnet will be showing over 250 odd games this year (luckily most will be Jays games :p ), so between them and the Chicago/Atlanta/Boston channels there will be an abundance of games outside of the MLB package.
