MLB all-star game is still a joke?

oh its a joke alright idiotic voting at its best ^^

but you know I like the idea of having every team rep so its not always completely filled with one team. Like for example a whole roster of yankees versus a whole roster of Mets is a bit..... bland. I like the mix its like a celebration of athletes from different teams that had a brilliant 1st half of the season.

heck and we can't even watch it with a relaxed attitude because winner gets home field advantage!!!

us fans go through so much in this game rofl
 
I guess what I'm saying is the all-star game is a big joke. If your going to place the importance of home-field advantage in the World series on it, you need to do 2 things, 1. get rid of fan voting to ensure the best possible teams are put out there. 2. Get rid of the rule saying every team has to have a player make it.
Now if it's an exhibition game, then yes these two rules are fine, but if the all-star game really means so much how do you justify these rules?
 
When you get right down to it, all All Star games are a joke. The reason NFL football is our national pastime now is that the league has sense enough to play the game after the season and treat it for what it is: A meaningless exhibition game.
