Its a samurai anime scripted by Mamoru Oshii (gits) and its animated by production IG.

Slated for summer 09. I'll kep this thread updated with new teasers footage untill some ******* decides to make a thread on this cool looking new animethat thats out in the summer.
 
Oshii, Production I.G and Musashi? I'm definately in as well. Just, later than everyone else. Much, much later.

That teaser doesn't divulge too much about anything really, but the whole project certainly sounRAB more than promising. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.
 
Well i'm all for another samurai anime and Musashi was one of the best so as long as it lives up to the legend it should be great.

Knowing Oshii and Production I.G., I imagine this will end up being both philosophical and dark. It makes sense if you read the novel. Hope they'll make it as comprehensible as possible.
 
Are they going to be following Yoshikawa's novel?

If so, it will be interesting how they choose to animate the fights with the Yoshioka school. They're bloody, violent, and downright villainous in the book.

This should be a pretty good one if that's the case.
 
Dude, The Blade Of Immortal anime is one of the worst ****ing things released in recent years. Possibaly ever.

This teaser probably had more frames of animation than an average BOTI episode.

****, I'm craving Shigurui season two now. Or for someone to translate the manga.

Anything damnit.
