I have a Mistubishi rear projection tv bought in 2000. Model VS-60805. It has worked flawlessly up until now. The problem is when using RCA/S-video cables in the INPUT 1 and INPUT 2, Antenna A and B, and the aux input on the front plate, the image displayed is in black and white, heavily distorted, and shifted offscreen to the left (like the old cable box scrambled premium channels) the color tubes are fine as far as I can tell since my BlueRay disc and regular DVD player project perfect images in 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios when run through the HDTV video input panel and through the YCrCb DVD connections. I've tried both inputs from both a PS2 game, DVR, and Fios set top boxes, through these about inputs with no change in the distorted black and white picture. Sound is fine through any input.
I've read that it is very hard to get parts but it wouldl be a shame to keep the tv just to play DVD's.
