So I have a 99 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder with a stock infinity sound system. I took out the head unit to add a CD changer and now the stereo and the alarm system do not work. I removed the disc changer and put everything back as it was and the stereo will not even power on. It says that the audio will not work if removed but I have the alarm code to disable that. I cant even get the unit to turn on. I checked my 12v connection and I am getting power. When I turn the ignition key I just get static and my speakers make a popping noise? Any suggestions? Im probably going to buy a new head unit soon but I do not know how to enable the alarm system when it is tied into the old head unit?
